I would love to know more of your story. Do you believe the war is just. Was it a mistake? Was it worth it? Do you support Bush? Do your brothers? I see the Iraq war as a terrible tragedy and the harmed and killed soldiers as victims of a government that used them to push their greedy agenda through a series of undeniable and documented lies. You must be angry. Your heart is in such a noble place and you are very brave. To be exploited like that is criminal. I could never have done what you have done. I admire your courage. I would fight for my country if we were invaded of course, or a noble cause like WW2. But to enrich elites and certain corporations and give the US a controlling hand in the oil wealth of another country is not a cause I'd give my life for. I'm sorry you have been to hell.

I, and I am sure all Americans appreciate the sacrifice you have made.
That does not change the fact that illegal aliens are just that, illegal. Color, race, religion have nothing to do with it. They are breaking the law to enter and many continue to break laws while in the US. IF the situation was reversed, and US citizens were entering Mexico illegally and breaking laws, not paying taxes, on welfare, getting free medical payed for by Mexican citizens, do you think Mexico would look the other way?

My hat off to you, and I also served in the armed forces and lost many friends in Grenada (Marine barracks), and yes, we are all borthers in arms and we back each other up and will do anything in the world for each other, and I am not trying to argue with you, and many do attact a particular group (Mexicas, becasue they are the largest group of illegals), but I do not think its based on "hate", its based on being "tired" of the illegals taking advantage and "not" giving back or making the effort to give back to a country that gives them everything (state benefits) or making the attempt to become legal for fear of being deported, and maybe because of a criminal past and cannot obtain legal status. I have been around the world and seen things I wish I have never seen and some of these images will be burned in my mind for the rest of my life, but I will do everything in my power to assist and help the poor and oppressed and I give everything in my being to my family, but lets not mistaken hate with being tired and fed up. Yes, maybe there are people who are racist and hate, but not the higher percentage. Just tired. Good Luck to you and God Bless.

My response is a mixture of the previous responses. Are you Mexican or American? Both are countries. Neither are races. If you are soooo proud of America, why do you use a Mexican flag for your icon/avatar? If you lost parts in Iraq, why do you say you lost an eye and would lose limbs etc? Why do you accuse others of racism and very clearly express racism of your own? I too find this to be an attack of this part of answers in the form of a lie or at least exageration by someone who is still unclear of where his loyalties are. There are lots of Americans whose ancestors are from Mexico on answers who also don't like illegals and would never put a Mexican flag as their avatar. Just food for thought. When you point a finger you have 3 pointing back at you.

Either you are truly a great American Hero or a major BS artist. I for one belive you and thank you for your service and am sorry you suffered so much. As for the illegal alien issue, don't confuse your service with illegal immigration being a MAJOR problem, however I do know that many illegals have and are serving this country in the Armed forces and believe they should be granted automatic citizenship!! I have done my patriotic duty for my nation, & will continue to do so as long as I draw breath. The scars I carry are borne proudly. Many here doubt your claims, perhaps you might show a DD-214 so that your service to America can be verified. You might also have chosen a less vitriolic avatar & moniker to announce your arrival to this particular battleground. The old maxim, "know your enemy." applies here as on any battlfield campaign. There are many dead heroes, yet few old warriors. Those of us that survive, do so by learning to carefully choose our battles, weapons and tactics. Perhaps you might "regroup", reassess, and rearm, before blundering headlong into a battle of this magnitude. The lines are clear, your duty is to decide where you choose to stand on this important issue. Stand and be counted. I will keep my good eye out for you on the field. Show your true colors.

You claim to be a mexican but the government of mexico does not see you as one. The country of mexico sees you as an American. The color of your skin has no bearing on your status in the country of mexico as it pushes it's own people away. If you went to mexico they would not care that you claim to have heritage of blood lines stemming from that destitute nation. Mexico is showing it's self to be a greedy and hypocritical nation. You may have served America in battle but you are doing her an injustice by identifying yourself as a hyphenated American. If you are truly willing to shed a label let me recommend the hyphen be removed at once. America is best served with your heart than with the other body parts you mentioned you would be willing to give.

While there is no way to know the suffering you may have and are continuing to endure, for the benefit of the USA, the greatest appreciation for huge losses by those that serve the USA both now and in the past cannot be expressed by those of us who only watch from the sidelines.
I for one thank all those who have fought hard and dearly for the USA. If not for them, our country would not be here.
IT is for them as well as myself, that I am concerned our country can not or will not enforce it's own laws and the will of the people. It is a very deep loss indeed that any citizen of any country lose their culture and sanctity because the government will not protect it's own people ...when it can. This is the war those of us here at home are facing. Stightless, limbless but not without the obvous insight you have, surely you can realize that those of us so upset about the failing of our government are concerned for our very lives if this travesty is not stopped. And for the lives of our solders who are fighting for us/themselves elsewhere in the world.
What can they think if they come home to a country that is not as it has been. No law, no order only chaos, unchecked foreigner invaders who use haplessly in their ignorance with no concern for our countries future. We fight here too. Both for you and the other solders as well as for ourselves and our children.
It is not hatred but love of country for all AMericans that pushes us forward.

Many do not hate illegals, what we dispise is lawlessness and terrorism and your own losses were caused by those very things in the Middle East. That reallity you refer to as Hell could become the same in this country, if law and order are not restored before we have been taken by a foreign country just as has occurred in Iraq

My grandfathers all the way back to the Revolutionary War have fought for the United States of AMERICA and they would NEVER have flown the flag of another country. Men in my family have fought every war since. (War of 1812, Mexican-American War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Aphganistan and Iraq.) You are a fake and a phony. Anyone should be capable of seeing through your little facade. If you want to help your homeland, go down there to Mexico, help them there so they will not feel they need to illegally enter OUR country. Do you know what "Brain Drain" means? It means all the smart, brainy, educated people from a third world country are LEAVING those countries instead of staying and using their intelligence to help pull those countries out of third world status. If you're so D@m smart go down there and help them THERE.

What have I done for MY country? I work here, pay my taxes, am not a drain on our system, I buy HERE and my money goes back into THIS economy, not to another country. I help out a family who is having some hard times right now. I write my state representatives about the injustice I feel illegal immigration is to Americans, I talk to people about it, I go to our town meetings, I vote and I support our Minutemen, Border Patrol and our servicemen in Iraq. I don't get on here and pretend to 'be one of them'.

You should be ashamed of yourself. A true veteran, a true AMERICAN would not get on here and support illegal behavior in our country. They aren't called ILLEGAL just for the h3ll of it. We have laws, they are breaking those laws.

I support our brave men and women in Iraq. I honor and respect those who came back in body bags and those who TRULY came home injured. i completely agree with u and i see not point in arguing whether or not your story is real or not , u asked a very specific question and all u got so far is many saying u are lying about who u are . it sickens me that people is not able to see than the only thing that comes from their hate and attacks to others is to bring more hate towards America .

there is not excuse to be hateful to others neither there is to live day and night attacking and making racist comments against anyone . i say if anyone feel really patriotic and wants to defend its country from destruction like most claim in this forum they have a very wide door open to do it for real instead of being talking trash every day .

Though probably all the sacrifice of our soldiers in Iraq is for absolutely no reason, the selfless sacrifice of our our soldiers is unmatched and cannot be valued.

I wish all civilians learn to live like our soldiers without regard for race or color.
