I applied for immigration. what if they reject my application. is there any other way I can get immigration? Maybe if I apply as student for a one year program? Will it be very expensive? What r the pros & cons?

you can still apply as a skilled worker but the processing will just take a lot longer. (several years in fact)
OR you can apply as a provincial nominee. this is faster.

you choose the province and apply. They decide if they want you or not. if they dont then you must reapply as a skilled worker and wait a few years.
if you are approved for provincial then you can immigrate.
there is ONE requirement for provincial nominees, and that is that you MUST STAY in that province for 3 years before you can leave.
OR you can do the work permit/study permit route.

You can get immigration through the Quebec skilled worker program if you speak French and fill other requirements or you can still apply for Federal skilled worker if you have a job offer.
If you can get a job offer, you could also come in on a temporary work permit and apply for immigration later. If you want to try to come in as a student, a 2 year program will give you more rights towards immigration later. After a 2 year program, you could have an up to 3 year open work permit but after working for a year, you could apply to immigration via Canadian Experience class. I figure the cost would be $10,000 a year for tuition for an international student, maybe more. You would have to shop around. You would also have to show that you have enough money for your living expenses, probably $20,000 for each year but you can get a work permit to work up to 20 hours a week with your school so if you can show that you have access to the money, you can get the visa but you might not have to use the money if you can get an after school job. For a student visa, you also have to show that you will return to your homeland after your studies are done. |
