They came north and had secured jobs, using fake social security cards, fake birth certificates, and fake state ID cards (which for employment purposes, are legally acceptable; a loophole written into the federal laws). There are senators and congressmen who are sympathetic to their cause, and are secretly on the side of illegal aliens.
This is why the Feds had passed Immigration laws with gaping loopholes to allow employers to continue hiring illegals in the first place.

12 million illegals (and that's just Mexican illegals)

300 per plane = 40,000 flights. If a flight left every hour of the day (24 flights every day), it would take about one thousand, six hundred and sixty-six days to deport them all.

That translates into four and a half years of non-stop deportation. The pace could never be achieved. There is always too much bureaucracy and incompetence.

So, what would you prefer, four and a half years of expensive deportation, or about four and a half days at no cost to us?

What is the fast, free, no-cost alternative? Simply enforce the laws on the books right now. Slap huge fines on any company that employs illegals. Even better, make top management directly responsible. You better believe that, if CEO's and managers knew they would be held accountable, the very next day companies would be making Draconian sweeps of their personnel.

Without jobs, illegals would (like the phrase in the Taco Bell commercial) "Make a run for the border". However, this time it would be FROM the United States TO Mexico.

Once illegals knew their jobs were gone, and they couldn't risk detection, they would leave of their own accord. To ensure a speedy departure, we could start authorizing police to question people they suspected of being here illegally. Make this offense extremely expensive. That alone would help dissuade people from trying to play the odds of avoiding detection. If they knew they could lose a substantial amount of money, they'd leave.

The best solution is to institute a national ID program by issuing a card for every legal citizen. The card would have the person's photo on it, and like the new passports, have information secretly coded into it so it cannot be forged. Each ID card would have a unique number, just like a SSN. There would be no room for cheating.

So, let's be realistic. Deportation would take forever, give the illegals too much time to figure out loopholes, and cost a fortune. Better to remove the reason for being here: jobs.

That would be great. But the problem is enforcement. For some reason, the authorities in this country do not want to enforce the laws we have. If they did, this problem would not be nearly as bad. The government is going to claim that there are far to many of them to deport. That would be an enourmous undertaking. This is something that should have been done decades ago.

Sounds like a more peaceful solution then the one I believe we will end up with.

Sorry SANTINEL, they already are trying to start the Civil War.
