I will be visiting London this year and I am wondering what airport immigration will be like? What they will ask, what I will need etc? Also, is it possible to extend my visa without needing to return home?

If your purpose is as stated on the visa, and you intend to leave according to the terms of your visa, you've got nothing to worry about. The fact that you are thinking about staying longer than your visa allows before even setting foot in the UK means you should expect a hard time with immigration. |

If you aren't intending to do anything illegal and you have all you necessary paperwork everything will be fine. If you wish to extend visa you will have to visit the US Embassy in London in person. Enjoy your stay I miss my homeland, just got back from a visit, the cost of living is very high, be aware of that. |
