What is it about illegal immigration that makes people so angry?

Most of those who are angry about illegal immigrants do not even know them, do not speak to them, do not in any communicate with them therefore it becomes easy to label them criminals, drug runners, murderers, rapists, ethnic secessionists, to make wild outlandish claims against them. It's a deliberate attempt to demonize them and curtail any form of pathway to legalization. Look at some of their user names, some are in english and some are in spanish. I'm not angry at illegal immigrants, I'm angry that nothing is being done in the congress to resolve their status.

Look unless you live in one of the Border States then I am sure you are just thinking that we are all paranoid... I live in Texas, I have to deal with and live with illegals all the time... and trust me it's not paranoia...

I have absolutely NO problem with immigrants as a whole... however illegal immigrants have no rights... by law they have no rights... and honestly I don't want immigrants to be hindered by (or hinder) our society because they lacked the patience to wait their turn...

Spain has nowhere near the same numbers of Ilegal aliens as the US. The simple fact that these individuals are CRIMINALS (entering the country without authorization is criminal) is why I do not want them here. The sheer numbers of them and the fact that they will work for less than minimum wage drives down the base salaries of ALL. They do not assimilate into society and send massive amounts of money "home" reducing the value of our currency. (Mexico's second largest income is from money sent "home" from illegals in the states).

I've also been to Spain. You may have seen a small area with many immigrants but it is nowhere near the levels in the US, where illegals are widespread through the country. Spain also does not look kindly upon illegal immigration and does take measures to deport any illegal immigrants. Something the US needs to get better at doing.

The reason it upsets me that they want to make illegal immigrants legal and allow them to stay here is because I have paid thousands of dollars on immigration for my spouse to live in the United States legally. If they allow illegals to stay here, I want a refund.

Supporting illegal immigration is immoral. It only supports the root causes of the impoverished conditions that led to the migration. And it threatens to import that same poverty to this country.

I don't know anything about Spain's immigration policies, but I do know that the US has the most lenient LEGAL immigration policy in the world.

So if I raped your child and killed your family, stole your money, insulted you, robbed you, injured you, you would be happy? Of course not. Millions of people are affected by these criminals directly and millions more indirectly. After a friends child was made into road kill by some drunk illegal Mexican (illegal aliens are responsible for 28% of the DUI deaths in the US but only make up 3% of the population) he might be able to better explain it than I can! its pretty simple.. there are many people waiting to come into this country legally. The illegals don't care about that, they come when they want and when its convient to them. This holds up the process for people who are patiently waiting and doing the right thing.

why do you want to reward people who are taking the easy way in and punish the people who are doing it the right way, by making them take longer to come in.

By your logic why do we have any immigration laws? why don't we just allow anyone to come anytime they want?

The majority of the illegals do not pay taxes her in the States. In California we have had several hospitals close due to illegals using the services and not paying, also we have had a lot of fires in Southern California started by illegals campfires. So yes I do get angry about it.

We take in about 130 thousand people legally in this country every year. Spain and europe in general are having alot of trouble with illegals.What do you think the riots in France and Britain were about last year? They send so much money out of this country and are a burden on our education system. 250 million on college in California alone, When we build schools out here to accommodate the numbers we have to bring in trailers within 2 years for more class rooms. When we passed prop 187 they over turned it, so we don't have control of our own state anymore.There have been several hospitals go out of business because they treat illegals who can't or won't pay their bills and no way to track them, so the hospitals asked the government to reimburse them and we are talking millions, the government wouldn't so those hospitals are gone from the community now.

They did not abide by our laws in coming here. There are many people who are waiting legallyy to come here and the illegals jump in front of them. If someone breaks into your house but mops the floor is it ok. We want the border closed because if they can do it so can others who don't like us and are here for the wrong reasons.

I can tell you what makes me angry about the illegal immigration.

When I immgrated to the US I had to do a bunch of things

-Hiv test /drug Test/ std test
- proof of my education
-shots against hepatitis, tetanus etc
-x-rays of my lungs
-proof that I don't have a criminal history
-proof that I have enough funds
-sign a waiver that I don't ask for government benefits
-interview in the us-embassy
-wait till my immigration went trough
-pay all the fees (including the medical examination , the translation of my documents)

So why in the world should the illegals get permanent resident granted without doing the same ?
I would feel discriminated.Are they better than me ?

Maybe a better question to ask is If Millions of illegal immigrants run from the problems in their own countries then who will solve them? And what future does that leave for the families they leave behind?
