America was built by immigrants. However, they did it in a legal way. My ancestors , who are Irish, came here the correct way. I think anyone should be allowed to come here, just do it the right way which is gettting a citizenship.

They are illegal, and they broke America's laws. If an American breaks the law, we are sent to prison, but if they break the law, they want to be REWARDED. It's not right.

I think I am done.....compassion is such a rare and valued commodity these days. I have taught my daughter many things...the one thing I hope she carries is "if they are hungry..feed them, if they are thirsty..find them drink..etc."

So to end a long rant....nothing is wrong with illegal immigrants. They are amazing, beautiful people who want the best for their families and are trying to find that.

Actually our prisons are filled with them. But aside from that having no documentation, they can walk over the border, drop a bomb somewhere, then walk out. When they come in the right way, we run their back grounds to weed out terrists, and wanted felons. 2nd is when they have false documention. Say their child gets hurt, they go into an er, get the treatment, then when they disappear (wrong address, and ssn so we can't find them.) we pay their bill out of our taxes. You say one bill or too is fine, but we have millons of them here right know. Not to mention, we pay all the kids schooling and everything. The main thing is our taxes pay for everything for them, and they get paid cash, so they are not paying into our taxes. If they want to live here then they should abide by the same laws we do and they don't.
But the one that I feel is most important is #1.

I guess a lot of it has to do with the job market. People who are born in the US and pay taxes are loosing jobs to immigrants who much of the time spend the money back in their countries of orgin. I know of many US citizens living in Michigan who would take any job they can get but loose out to immigrants. Also many of the immigrants that come through our town go on some sort of governent assistance. I remember going hungry and having no heat during some winters while the hispanic family down the road got all this money and none of them worked. No one would help us. I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I really don't know where I stand on the issue. I am an American Indian so I've always been here. All I know is that it is not Americans responsibility to help immigrants. Their own countries need to help them as well. I know of many citizens in our country that need help but never get any. This is one way of looking at it I suppose. Once again, I have no stance on it. This is just what I have heard, seen and, experienced. I am not against any race. I'm a minority as well. :)

They have done something wrong. Citizenship means belonging to community. A citizen respects the law because the law embodies community will. The law is what lets us live in peace and prosperity alongside people with whom we disagree, even despise. But illegal immigrants break the law from the outset. Just by coming here that way they tell us their mindset is "me and mine first--to hell with others...my needs come first." This is the opposite of citizenship.

Illegal immigrants use the resources and services of a country because they are unregistered. Even if they work and purchase goods some probably don't pay income tax.

This mean the government is spending for them but they aren't giving back in terms of taxes.

Whats wrong with me going to your place...walking in the front door uninvited...going to your fridge and finding what i wanted to eat, then going to your medicine cabinet and helping myself to your medication,rummaging thru your purse and taking your money and sending it down the street to my brothers house. Then...when I am done taking from you..i turn around and walk away leaving your house in disarray

I don't have a problem with immigrants- my problem is that they are "illegal" if they follow the laws, no problem, if not they should be deported, and do it right, come back with t's crossed and i's dotted- then as far as I am concerned, they are welcome.

They don't do anything wrong? Go to Alaska, take a boat across to Siberia, and go anywhere from there. Without papers. When you're arrested, and you WILL BE arrested, just tell them you aren't doing anything wrong. They will still throw your butt in prison for "not doing anything wrong". Secondly, ENGLISH is the official language here. I learned Latin, French, Itallian (my wife is a naturalized citizen from Italy), and German. I don't want to learn another language. But I have to look HARD to find the english print on half of the products I buy today. That's B.S.. I don't like the Mexican gangs in my childrens' schools. I don't like Mexican gang grafiti on my warehouses and shops. And most of all, I'm tired of them thinking that because they got here, it's okay for them to stay here. We don't let Chinese nationals do it, or ANY European naitonal, or Canadian nationals or any other country. So why make all of these special allowances for Latinos? Nope. Just doesn't compute.
As for them only doing jobs most Americans won't do, that's B.S. too. I owned a construction company for years. In 1995, I made $7.00 per sq. ft. to frame a house. Today? You'd be lucky to get a contract at $3.75 a foot. Why? Because they can do it for less, because they don't pay a third of everything they make to taxes. So to bid the job at the same price they do, I make 30 percent LESS than they do, plus I'm bidding the job for less than HALF of what it's worth!!! Yet the price of housing has increased. Go figure. Now I no longer own a construction company. I watched my income drop from $87,000 in 1999 to $27,000 in 2004. All because of illegal immigration! Now I work for the UAW, because the union won't allow illegal immigrants in the plant. At least I work indoors now. And I also own a couple auto custom shops. I neither hire nor sell to mexicans.

First off, they came into this country ILLEGALLY. Either by jumping the border or staying here beyond their visa permitted. The freedoms and security that you take for granted are not FREE. As a tax payer you are paying for it and all the luxury's you enjoy. Like picking up the phone and calling 911 to get the police or an ambulance to rush you to the hospital. Illegal immigrates do not pay taxes, and do not pay for these freedoms, and if they do it is because they stole someone else social security number, so they could get a real job. The burden of supported illegal immigrates is too much for the governments both local and federal to handle. Hospitals are closing, employee benefits are decreasing, Auto insurance is more expensive, the prison system is full of illegal immigrants, who have committed other crimes,because it is too costly to ship them out.
