Honestly ? I believe it had a lot to do with SPP and NAU. If we get a "merging" of nations wages all across the board would plummet not to mention other things. That's my thoughts anyway.
BTW...Interesting video. Hadn't really thought of that. Scary thought tho. |

OUr government has VERY close ties to big business. Big business makes better profits if they have very cheap labor.
And, by "pricing out" low income American citizens, it makes us even more powerless against their destruction of our Constitutional rights.
IF they can destroy the middle class and make it so that we are all just fighting to survive we won't notice when they take away our right to bear arms, or, spy on us (as we know they are already doing). Then, we are helpless and uninformed. THey get to be a "ruling" class while the rest of us are cast into worker roles.
(Perhaps a bit far-fetched or stretching, but, I think the long-term effects are more profound that they are letting on for a reason- they want us to be sheeple.)
A star for a great, thought provoking question. |

Votes, taxes... money. I've heard every illegal, if he gets the amnesty, will pay some thousands dollars to the government..... and sure he will vote for those who give him this amnesty... It is about control and money |

Money is usually the game played by all politicians. |

Because our government
1) has no clue of the damages and huge problems that illegals cause
2) is in business with huge companies that hire illegals
3) doesn't care about average middle and low class American tax paying citizens
and 4) only thinks about themselves!!! |

If they can keep things shaking for the 'little people', no one will pay attention to the other things they do. |

Amnesty removes the most important single reason citizens have to protest the migration of Mexico into the United States, which is the criminal act. Our country could do quite well without any of these criminals but the people who run the country and their rich friends need something like slave labor to make their fortunes grow. |

Frustration, despair, fear.
If any influential government-types are tuned-in here be advised - concentrate on stemming the flow by closing the borders lest the 12 to 20 million illegals already here be joined by another twenty million, further straining our already over-burdened social services.
Those who it's said are here to 'do jobs (citizens) won't do' must surely be the most concerned about a future when competition for even THEIR jobs looms.
'Government' is 'people' we expect to work for us. It's getting to be more of a full-pay retirement community in Washington with lifetime full-plus benefits and fantastic perquisites where our legislators find it difficult to remember their constituents.
Let's remind them in November. Elect your neighbor...if he/she is here legally. |

Well, I concur that there is an ulterior motive and it's political.
The votes they would get would make them shoe-ins for their re-election, which is in serious trouble right now. The current Congress has a lower approval rating than any in the past and all their jobs are in jeopardy and they know it.
Also... don't kid yourself with that "deporting them would hurt the economy" because that's hooey! I think, if anything, they should be offered the option of serving our country in exchange for citizenship. I'd be all for someone defending liberty to gain it.
Oh... and there is another option.
Mexico owes us SOOOO much money... and they never make their payments...
if I did that on my house payments, what would happen?
FORECLOSURE.
So we foreclose on the loans, annex Mexico and then all those car companies who built plants there because of cheap labour have to pay decent wages all of a sudden...
saves the money on the fence and takes away any reason to want to move here. |

The government wants more dependent people so they will have more power. |

Anybody hear a viable plan to round up and deport 11 million people? I haven't. Nobody knows how that would be done much less how much it would cost.
Amnesty is the only other answer ..... except for annexing Mexico as the 51st state. |

I believe it is because they know what, will happen to our economy if undocumented are deported. The economy will fall there will be a run on the banks to with draw their money and employers are not going to raise the wages to attract American Labor. Prices will raise ,dramatically. |

The best one, so they are legal and pay taxes like the rest of us, keeping the coffers filled.
Secondly, so city resources can be planned efficiently and effectively.
Thirdly, votes ! |

Looking for the REAL answer!

I believe it is because of the following; illegal are not criminals they are people running from their oppressive country's and risk their lives to come to American to provide a better future for their children. Just like anything thing or anyone else there are the good people and bad people. I think government wouldn't provide amnesty to the criminal illegal that don't pay tax’s, or have committed other crimes, but it would release a large burden placed on law abiding residents whom live in fear of deportation because of the extreme cost of becoming a legal resident or the other hurdles placed in their paths to become of legal stature. |
