Not to mention are you talking about legal immigration or illegal immigration? If there's anti's out there that are hispanic I'm sure it's for the same reason I am. Obey the law and immigrate legally.

Hardly anyone is anti-immigration. What don't you understand about breaking the law? Most Americans are ANTI-ILLEGAL immigration. Regardless of where they are coming from, all we want is for people who want to make the United States their home, follow the process, abide by the laws. Americans understand why people want to come live here, we just ask that they do it the right way.

Anti-immigrant Hispanics are typically in Mexico (check out thier immigration policy and treatment of illegal aliens). Pro-immigrant Hispanics are more likely in America - a nation with a long history of accepting and assimilating immigrants from around the world.

Of course, the 'anti-immigrant' position is rather extreme, since it doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants (or desireable immigrants, like workers who's skills are in short supply, vs undesireable ones, like violent criminals, drug runners, or terrorists).

I haven't seen too many anti-immigrant Hispanics. Most Hispanics understand that this is a needed workforce in order to have a strong economy. Without the "labor class" you have no foundation in the capitalist structure.........

No difference other than on a political view. It's cultural racism if someone calls a Hispanic less than what she is because of their views on immigration. I 've seen so much Jealosy for the African American when they succeed by their own race. In High school a classmate got shot by his friends because he was going to college. I am horrifed that people are racist agaisnt their own people. If a Mexican succeed, they must have somehow cheated to get there. I didn't even know what a coconut was until I got on this sight. I'm not saying some don't , but alot of them got where they aer through blood sweat and tears. Just because their Hispanic, doesn't mean they have to act the way you want. It's up to the individual to choose their path. I keep hearing from the proside not to bunch all hispanics into one group., then I see them turn around and do it themselves. SOme Mexicans have been here before it was AMerica, and their path of their culture went a different direction than the other Hispanics. Their culture is formed from their experience in Claifornia, or Texas, or Arizona. THey mixed and match and I hope to pick the best of what they saw and created their own culture. Are you to tell me that an Argentinian is the same as a Mexican. Heck is someone from Oxaca the same from someone from Mexico City??? Well A mexican AMerican is not the same as a Mexican, and they are free to make their own decision. THeir heritage is in AMerica, not Mexico. Even though their looks are different, their heritage comes from the soil they were born and their ancestor.

I happen to be a white US citizen that is pro-immigrant and everytime I say something about pro-immigration I get called a wet back or something stupid like that... its unfortunate but there are so many idiotic people in this world that we can't do anything about it.
