I had an interview for green card and they told be that it was approved, but they told me I got to wait until October 2009, and by that month I will get a visa number, so I can travel outside of U.S. Don't they usually stamp your passport after your appointment when it has been approved, and then send you the actual card few weeks later? I don't understand why I have to wait this long even though my green card was approved...
Additional Details
does "everyone" has to wait until they receive their visa # for green card, or it depends on what case it is?
