What is up with citizens being "pro-illegal"?

If I explained it to you, would you do me a favor and have an open mind about it? First of all, I am not for open borders.....Thats just won't work......I do support immigrants, who have been here for many years, working and with no felonies, or are not on welfare.....

It is doubtful that anyone would disagree, if you have an open mind, with the fact that illegal immigrants, by virtue of their working for low wages, boost corporate profits (this is the only reason why corporations employ illegal immigrants) and reduce commodity prices for Americans overall. The latter translates not just to direct savings in purchases for individual consumers, it also contributes partly to keeping the lid on inflation, thereby proving more flexibility for the Federal Government to lower interest rates - which in turn allows lower cost home purchases and refinancing. (Of course, I am by no means arguing that illegal immigration is the sole or principal reason for low interest rates in the US - to do so would be laughable! What I am saying is that they contribute a small part to lowering inflation overall.)

i guess they like illegal immigration or sumthin. im not "pro illegal", cuz i dont wanna encourage breakin the law, but i just think the illegals already here should be able to get legal. i think we should make it easer for people to come here legally

i believe the world should be without borders and we should be free to roam as we please. As americans we pretty much have this ability already, most other countries are more than willing to take our money and skills, there are many countries where americans can walk right in without a visa or a second glance. We must break down these borders and differences and the world should live as one.

It's simply an objective outlook on the contribution these men and women make in our society. And for me, there is a personal motive as well. My father was an illegal immigrant. So I can truly appreciate what his actions did for me. This is a great nation, no doubt about it. And, in the end, illegal immigrants are just fellow human beings searching for a better life.

I'm not saying I'm in favor of open borders.I think that people that are already here should be able to get their green cards. It can take years to get their green cards. If they are hard working and have never had a criminal background(not including crossing the border) then I think they should be able to stay here. For you to say dead beats is wrong. There are damn dead beats who are American citizens. I don't care if you are white, chinese, black mexican whatever, there are bad in every race. My husband is Mexican and a very hard worker. He is a foreman for a company and works sometimes 15 hours a day. He also speaks very good Engilsh. There are alot of good people who are illegal that contribute by paying taxes(unfortunatly they can't claim them at the end of the year) and helping our society. I'm paying for Nursing school out of my own pocket and not freeloading off our government like a lot of our citizens do. Question for you is do you know any illegal citizens? Cause if you don't maybe you need to do some research and open your mind a little.

Also I come from a very well respected family that has owned a mining and off shore oil platform business for 30 years. NONE of my family members have ever been in prison.

I've met a few people on here who are "pro-illegal" yet are not in favor of open borders... they seem to have sympathy for the plight of the poor (which they claim comprises a significant majority of illegals). These are the ones who's overall message is "secure the borders, but give amnesty to the ones already here". (a few of them have already answered your question)

Then there are the hypocritical racist loons and the plain traitors/conspirators against the USA. These are the ones who really want open borders "so people can roam freely as they please" (yes these people are the terrorists' best friends).

I don't have a problem with people who come here the correct way. But when you have people who get on national t.v. and say that stealing SSN's and stealing I.D's is okay then there is a problem. The gentleman said they have to do what they have to do. What if it were your identity stolen and you are now having to deal with creditors and legal issues caused by these actions. The ONLY people benefiting from the overflow of illegal workers are employers, families back in their homelands, check cashing/wire transfer companies, and the worker themselves. Hospitals, schools, rising healthcare cost, fair wages for legal citizens of the U.S. are some areas that are suffering due to so many people being here illegally.
Medicaid has already paid over $28 million towards illegal people in this country. YES it is true, this country does provide healthcare to illegals and US born citizens have a difficult time getting the medical attention they need.
Last but not the least, its one thing to come to this country to work, but its another thing to DEMAND changes be made in order to benefit an illegal person. Ask yourself if you went to Russia do you expect for Russians to change everything to English? Absolutely not, you learn their language and ways of life. Our country is backwards and the politicians aren't looking out for the middle class and definitely not the poor man woman. The border will not ever be secure. It would kill the drug dealing business, and actually force employers to stop pocketing big profits and actually pay an American a fair wage.

I am an American citizen who is pro-amnesty and one who understands that a secure border and enforcement is a viable solution to a festering problem.

Hopes and dreams are POSSIBLE in America......and with a REALLY good solution and the stop of any further flow.....we can make that happen and THEN we can ALL spend our time posting about our favorite colors or how great cinnamon smells.

Although illegal immigrants send home a lot of the money they make in the states, they contribute billions of dollars annually to our economy. They are our gardeners, cleaners, and other jobs that you would have to pay an American double the price to do.

Think about it. If you can pay 5 dollars for a job that would cost you ten dollars if they weren't there, then you just made 5 dollars because the job got done. That also means that those extra 5 dollars can be spent elsewhere. They add more to our economy than they do drain it.

Besides, when the Irish and a little afterward the Chinese were coming over in large numbers, there was even more conflict and discrimination against these ethnic groups than there is now with Mexicans.

I'd rather hire a hardworking illegal immigrant than a fat and lazy citizen.

i dont even know because it dont make no sense to be all involved in supporting illegals. Also with all this uncleanliness that be going around with the spinach, then onions, I dont want any undocumented people picking my produce. Americans for Americans, no more supporting what dont belong here.

A lot of it is white women that are living with their illegal mexican boyfriends. Also the legal mexicans are for illegal immigration (well, most of them, NOT all) because they join together and play the race card.

The race card is a favorite among mexicans.

It's called white guilt. Since white folks have had a history of slavery and imperialism, other's have too I know, but I'm focusing on Americans, they want to feel pity for poor immigrants. They feel somewhat responsible for their situation in life, so they abandon all logic and support things like this.

Dont worry these people have moral issues~ they most likely come from families that visit their relatives in prison, Or they cant afford to be against criminals since the bread winner in theor family is one.

If my brother commited a crime, I would not support him in it, and that is the defining difference between me and them_ I have standards!

The only replies Ive seen on this forum that are pro-illegals are the ones who are either illegal or married to one. I belong to AmericanCitizensAgainstPro-illegals Its a yahoo group
