Who is going to get paid $3 or $4 an hour if the ILLEGAL Mexicans are gone? No one. Legal citizens are going to pick them for at least minimum wage. Ever hear of high school students working during the summer. I did when I was in high school I only made about $7 an hour but that was just fine back then. If the illegals refused to work for such low wages they could demand more money. But really, who is going to help out a group of illegal people if they aren't willing to help themselves out. You can take a Mexican out of Mexico but you can't take the Mexico mentality out of an illegal who has no desire to change.

That would be a great day! - think of all the money the US governement would save!!! Think of watching the crime rate in this country decrease by 25% immediatly, think of of prision overcrowding issues immediatly solved, think of this country's drug problems stopping! Think of a day when Americans don't pay for illegals health care, welfare, education! We could see schools re-instate programs they had to drop to cover a translater for 2 students, we could see once nice neighborhoods become beautiful again! no more 45 mexicans packed into a house, instead a single family! Watch as the lowest wage earners in America no longer have to compete with illegal labor, - I am more then willing to pay twice as much for tomatoes to see all this happen!

First of all,let's get one thing straight.The word immigrant means someone who migrates.I don't know about you,but I was born in the United States.
Secondly,let's forget this one day crap.Let's try it for a couple of weeks and see how many have a job when they get back.
Maybe then they'll take the hint that we don't need or want them.

We have plenty of mexicans who have legally immigrated to the US.

It's only the ILLEGALS that we want rid of. Learn the difference between anti-illegal sentiment and racism, because the difference is HUGE.

I will gladly spend a little more money for tomatoes, so that we keep lawbreakers from forcing their way into our country, bringing diseases and an insatiable appetite for our social services.
If the Mexican government got their act together, maybe the Mexicans will stay home.
I had to spend 5 grand to process my wife LEGALLY into this country. She is from Asia and has a 4 year college degree. I should have just had her pose as an illiterate Mexican maid and she could have just snuck across the border!
Do you think the US Government will reinburse my money, if they decide to let these scum stay here despite breaking our laws?

Mexicans are for the most part very loving, generous, caring people. They are very family oriented and are a pleasure to be around. They are very hard working and conscientious.

Unfortunately, the US government has looked the other way too long and things got way out of hand. While many worked hard in the field, many also took advantage of our medical system & have caused many hospitals to go bankrupt and go out of business. This punishes the entire community because of the actions of a few. Our social programs are overtaxed and our prisons are filling up with people who have never paid the taxes to support these programs. Somethings gotta give. ... The citizens of the US can no longer play Santa to anyone & everyone who comes into our country illegally.

....or so it seems to me...

Our President would definitely agree with you on that issue. He has proposed granting amnesty to 8-11 million illegal aliens, so long as they admit they commit ed a "crime" by coming in the country illegally, and pay a small fine. What a wishy washy liberal! Imagine the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS gone for a day......I see less shoplifting, a boost in the economy because they will also lose their benefits for a day, I see less crime, maybe even a medical center that previously closed because of them might open back up.

I see many good changes.....homeless people being taken off the streets and taking over jobs the "Mexicans" did before, I see less poverty in our own citizens, without the HUGE influx of illegals that has arrived, I see less homelessness, as there would be jobs opening up everywhere, I see America living up to her full potential. I see a beautiful culture being restored.

hmm i remember the day long strike where no mexicans work, we had more of an economical rise than any other day of the year. who will work? the people that the illegals stole there job from.

We could do a day with out American income tax payers.
Maybe that might work.After all if we didn't pay for them all they would perhaps just go back to their own country's.
But since we are legal Americans we get nothing but the bad end of every deal.
I'm for a day without American citizens.No work,no buying,no driving ,nothing we just all stay home for 24 hours.Maybe that will get Washingtons attention.

They get paid like $10 an hour.There would be a definate shortage of workers.The US economy isn't that dependent on "mexican" labor.
