I do not dislike Mexicans nor do I talk down about them.

I have noticed a "slam Mexicans" trend going around here.

I would dislike it if it was a "slam Blacks", "slam Native Americans", "slam Asians", or any other such trend.

Now, I wholly agree that illegal immigration, from whatever party, is WRONG.

i dont really think it is the "mexicans",i think it is the "illegal mexicans" that everyone casts stones at.the reason i think is because there are so many of them.we see alot more illegal mexicans than any other illegals.also if u take a look at this link u will see what people are talking about.this is just a little of what i found

I think that people speak poorly about the illegal Mexicans that are crossing the border because they happen to be the ones that are coming here in the largest quantity by far! The ones that are coming over here illegally are normally the less educated Mexican Males who are here simply to work and send money across the border to their families.There are also the females that cross and have children here so that they can take advantage of our health care/welfare programs. These people are taught both by the Mexican Government and the American Government that they are deserving of these privileges and that they cannot do any better then they are doing. They honestly believe that they deserve to be handed everything and that they are doing the jobs that Americans will not do when in reality they are stealling from the American Citizens and in places that the Mexican Illegals are not, citizens or machines are doing those jobs. It is unfortunate that this subservient class of people has been created. If we were serious about helping these people, we would use our resources to help them in their own countries rather then giving them hand-outs and allowing them to continue their lives the way they are. Also, the Mexicans that are coming over here have no interest in following the laws and assimilating with the rest of the country. They are a drain on everyone around them and I know that I personally feel a sense of resentment toward the illegals that are here.

I think the main reason for most people is the fact that so many Mexicans are illegally in the US and getting benefits such as healthcare, food stamps, all the freebies that are for the underadvantaged citizens of the US. Those that I live by do not speak English, they and others have littered the neighborhood to resemble a slum. I also work with Mexicans and they are bias for each other above and beyond the labor laws in the factory, they act like they listen by a nod and a smile even though in reality they didnt understand a word. They expect Americans to learn Spanish and our town accomodate with dual language road signs or resturant menus. And having to press 1 for English in an predominately English speaking country is just not right.
I have had the pleasure to work with several Mexicans over the last few years and they do NOT possess the American work ethic or work standard.

It is too bad that Mexicans are grouped and stereo-typed as I'm sure not every member of the culture is like this; however, I can certainly see why this is so.

nothing wrong with Mexicans...in here they are synonymous ( that means the same as for some of you) with "illegals"....all painted with the same brush...

The problem is that they dont hang around freeway exits with signs " I'll work for food", they just get it done and work. They are the most hospitable culture that I have come across, they are hard workers, sure their are some bad apples, but its like that with any culture.

Nothing is wrong with Mexicans themselves. I do, however, have a problem with those who choose to be here illegally and use fradulent means to work- no matter where they came from.

Nothing is wrong with Mexicans, as Mexicans, more than is wrong with any other nationality. However, on this board because more of our illegal immigrants come from Mexico than from all other countries put together, a bunch of people on both sides seem to use 'Mexican' as synonymous with 'illegal immigrant.'

There is a great deal wrong with illegal immigrants, wherever they come from.

Don't worry.. it is just a cycle. Black people used to be hated all time when they wanted their rights to not be slaves.
It is just ignorance... One they every body will realized that we are all humans. This simple subject seems to be very complex for human beings. Is crazy to think that animals don't have racial problems but we do. :)

Whitch ones? Nothing is wrong with some Mexicans, A whole lot is wrong with the ones that think they can come to America and bite the hand that feeds them,and burn our flag and demand things.

nothing is wrong with them. often times they don't understand english and some people are only taught spainards spansih so.... too often people look at others who hold what they deem "menial" jobs some how beneath them. they forget - without those people they would not food on their tables, clean places to visit, eat, sleep, etc. some people find themselves aboveothers instead of appreciating people for who they are - not what they are!

I don't have too many problems with Mexicans, although the ones who live around me are rude and vile. I just have a problem with the illegal ones trashing this country.

Theirs nothing wrong with Mexicans some people are just ignorant and think they are better than others if it wasn't for Mexicans who would pick our fruits and vegetables? who would build our homes? i can bet you anything that you won't see those people who talk bad about Mexicans working in the fields.

EDIT: I didn't in no way intend to offend you personally.
I did see a news program that was exploring the reasons that Tuberculosis and Small Pox was on the rise in the US and the CDC says that illegals are the major part of the problem coming in with no immunizations against diseases we had control on years ago. Sorry if that hurt your feelings just stating the facts.
I have nothing against Mexicans. I think they are fine hard working people with family values and I love the culture very much.
They just need to go by the laws entering this country for our protection and theirs.
