What is wrong with protecting your property from illegal immigrants?
Find answers to your legal question.

What is wrong with protecting your property from illegal immigrants?

An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Chief Whachusa
I stand on the same answer I gave to to I'm gonna start another riot's question of the same topic.

"This is an absolute outrage! Since when do ILLEGALS have any CIVIL rights in this country?seek $32 million?"

When a property owner encounters a stranger or unwelcome guest on their own property, protecting it can be found to be legal.
When a property owner readies himself with arms and go out to find strangers or unwelcome guests then it is questionable as to the intent of his actions when he finds them.

There is nothing wrong with defending your self, your property and the US from an invasion force.

Illegal aliens do not have civil rights. They are criminals and invaders.

This rancher has been robbed, his calves slaughtered, his water tank destroyed and his property strewn with litter. Cows have died because they have eaten the water bottles left behind. I hope the jury is American enough to stand up to these illegals and not give them a penny. This rancher deserves compensation for all the damage done by the illegals.

I'm gonna start another riot

What you don’t understand that you are being invaded and the government is telling you it’s OK, gangs, drugs and poverty are now part of the land that your forefathers died for...and you are to pay for it...Obama, MALDEF and La Raza are bent on Socialism that makes the US subsidize the 3rd World, forever...and push us to a Global Marxist State.

We better support this guy who defended a border his government refuses to defend.

This would almost be comedic in its audacity if it weren't so contrary to all that America stands for. 16 felonious, lawbreaking, illegal immigrants are suing an Arizona rancher who has captured 12,000 trespassing illegal immigrants on his property over the last decade. The illegals seek $32 million for "conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border."

Not a damn thing! I would have shot them long before that! If they were warned time and time again, they get what they deserve!

Its like that in the UK too. You're supposed to let them come in and take what they like. If you defend yourself and you hurt them more than they hurt you, you are then prosecuted and face jail. Its just plain crazy. As per usual the perpetrator is treated better than the victim. Too many human rights for the wrong people. I hope the Arizona man is successful in not being sued by this filth.

Proud American
We can stand up to these socialist commie's. We have a right to protect ourselves and property. The right to bare arm's. Al least for now until Mr. Husein try's to take all our freedoms and guns.

Give me a break they should be happy that he didnt shoot them.I live in Texas and where I live we have land near a Railroad tracks and they come across our land too.I hate these people. They are a burden on our economy.I know as a child in West Texas the ranchers there took the law into their own hands not that Im saying that was right but they caused fire and killed ranchers animals so the ranchers did what they had to do.We as Americans need to have a march on washington to tell them how strongly we feel that these illegals need to be stopped. But do you think Obama will do anything while having an Aunt living here illegally and getting welfare too.

absolutely nothing, IMHO ; )

funny how your questions and answers are all private...
and without a named source i say you made this up...ridiculous the ignorance of some people who join the anti-immigrant forces. YOU would never be in the country if people had the opinions of you back then!

It was OK until he started kicking the women, threatening them with his gun and dog, and calling them every name in the book.

FYI - They do have Civil Rights.

(Washingtontimes)
Attorneys for the immigrants - five women and 11 men who were trying to cross illegally into the United States - have accused Mr. Barnett of holding the group captive at gunpoint, threatening to turn his dog loose on them and saying he would shoot anyone who tried to escape.

The immigrants are represented at trial by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which also charged that Sheriff Dever did nothing to prevent Mr. Barnett from holding their clients at "gunpoint, yelling obscenities at them and kicking one of the women."

Mr. Barnett's dog barked at several of the women and he yelled at them in Spanish, "My dog is hungry and he's hungry for buttocks."
