I know people personally who are considered medically disabled and unable to work. The insurance company they paid into their whole lives dropped them because they supposedly reached their "life cap." They moved to Mexico to be able to afford the healthcare and medications they need just to survive on a daily basis. I would do the same in their position. We should be free to go wherever we need to on God's earth to not just survive but THRIVE. If that place changes from the USA to Mexico for me tomorrow I'll go in a heartbeat. |

They have an adventurous spirit. Many Americans cannot afford to live here anymore. The developers are driving housing prices up so high, that only wealthy foreign nationals are able to buy anything in most cities. Foreigners hold the housing in big cities (without living there) until they can sell it to another foreign national.
The way things are going Americans need to figure out which country they will live in when they retire. |

More power to them. If they are in Mexico legally, why not. The gringo's dollar brings a lot of smiles to our Southern neighbors.
The only bad part is that they are running the cost of housing up, so by the time I can afford to move there, I won't be able to afford to live there. |

They don't immigrate. They can only stay a maximum of six months with an appropriate visa then must return to the US. There is no US immigration to Mexico. |

If people want to emmigrate to other countries, that's their choice. As long as they do so legally, more power to them. |

It depends; I know of some that commited crimes in the US and now live in Mexico, who says there's no immigration in Mexico, over there, Mr. Money gets you a way to live fine and pay your ways to stay. And I'm saying this of caucasians and african americans, Those who commited a crime or felony and fled, should not stay in Mexico, just like a Mexican isn't allowed after commiting a crime either here or in Mexico. But, retirees, to me, should be welcome, they are hard working people that find it hard to make a living in their own country. |

Most of the people who emigrate are pensioners so , this means they have already worked all their life so they deserve a better and comfortable life, USA is full of weird people trying to get advantage of everybody and in Mexico there is still the old way of life where you can eat healthy and live peacefully. of course this doesn't mean the main cities but you can find all this peace just an hour far from Mexico City and besides it is cheaper than living in the States. you can have a complete lunch for 4.00 dollars and in the states not even a sandwich. |

I have heard that those who do so usually are able to contribute to the local economy, not drain it. If they can legally obtain a legal status in Mexico(or Costa Rica, or Panama, etc.) why not? Maybe to them, it's worth the parisites, funguses, and political unrest. GO FOR IT. |

Well a lot of Americans run to Mexico - or so they say.
I think the uderlying issue is that.
why are we stopping Mexicans to enter US?
Who knows - we let everyone else in.
But I guess because they do it legally.
Shame, Mexicans come here to work and ahve a better life, and others come to destory what we have.
I have so many mixed emotions on this.
Its right and its wrong.
People I know including my mother have lost jobs/positions here in the uS to jobs in Mexico. Because it is so much cheaper.
Maybe Mexico should uh I dont know develop some plan with US.
For visas, green cards, jobs being transfered to Mexico and work this all out in a deal.
What kind of deal, I dont know.
I think about running to Mexico somtimes. Warm weather, and I could take a few years of savings and live grand. |

I think its good, Mexicans need to learn to live in diverse environment and the Americans that go there (assuming that they are kind and respect the cuture) are deserving of living a good and easy retirement. I hope we can all get along. |
