the USA is a place where people can feel free. i cant say its the land of freedom since there are many things one can do to get arested and kicked out of the USA. but an overal picture of the USA is that you can live on a small income and have a car and an apartment and eat good food. unlike in other places in the world where you can barely buy food off of your salary. so i understand why people come here to the USA. they want things that they cant have in their contry and they want to feel free to do what they please.

Actually, for the most part, the US has the loosest immigration policies of all of those countries you mentioned. Try immigrating to those countries, and you either won't be welcome, or you will not be given the full rights of a citizen, especially in Mexico.

ithink a lot of people come to the us because of the idea of free speech that is guaranteed to every citizen. they also see a lot of benefits the the us has tooffer.some countries have almost no benefits for elderly disabled or retired prople, they also so poor that wages are too low to survive. and theyhave no system of free enterprise. the us offfers a lot of opportunities this is why some of our best celebrities have come from other countries and are extremely succcessful. a good example of thie is the governor of californie, or sigfried& roy. they are all from europe and have been famoud for years nad would not have been as successful in the native land.

Go live in any foreign country for a few months and see for yourself. You will never truly appreciate all the freedoms and privileges you have have until you have lived in another country for a while.

The US has for 230+ years spend money creating infrastructure that facilitates opportunity. In fact that is the difference of the 1st world & the 3rd world.

With the 3rd World looking at the 1st with the additude of the book the UGLY AMERICAN, the 1st world cut back on installing infrastructure in the 3rd World.

Everything! We have all sorts of freedoms(free speech, religion, right to protest, etc) that other people don't have.
We have a prosperous lifestyle, which is probably why most people want to come here. And you may not see it from your perspective, but I see an America that can come together in hard times, and help each other and other countries out. Where do you think all these third world countries are getting their aid and food for their poor, lower cost drugs for their sick. The tooth fairy? The U.S has some points it could stand to work on, like all places, but I understand and appreciate what we have in this country, and I feel it is due more to the spirit of the United States than anything.
