Amen! It's NOT a MEXICAN ISSUE..it's not just an IMMIGRATION ISSUE...it's an ILLEGAL ISSUE. NO OTHER COUNTRY WOULD ALLOW IT EITHER...no, not even Mexico. I have NO problem with anyone who comes here legally.

There is a process to get here legally. Yes, this may be a long process, but it's LEGAL and you won't LOSE YOUR LIFE if you do it the way that's LEGAL.

I really think it's a shame that the protests yesterday really put all of the immigrants in one category..but it was their own fault.

Bush will never close the border. But if the illegals are breaking the law by entering, then what makes you think that they will abide by the laws when they enter the country.

Great answer bikerchick. It is true they broke a law the first step into U.S. , did they set a good example for themselves, no. Now does that make me racist, NO, but that is the card most of them are playing to hide the fact they broke a BIG law. I think it is cut and dry, break a law , pay for it whatever the punishment, how hard is it to understand for them.

think about this... without them, who would build the buildings, houses, and other construction works. more than likely all of the construction workers are hispanic and other races...EXCLUDING whites. yes, i do agree that they need to go back but they come here because they get better wages and to live an easier life...

plus... everybody has some type of other foreign part in their body... nobody is %100 true american... you might say you are and stuff but go look back into your past ancestors lives

The problem that underlies alot of this is that there is virtually no way for a Mexican who has no family in the US and is not rich enough to invest at least $500,000 in American business, and doesn't have any special skills, to legally immigrate to the USA. I think we need to give the world a reprieve and allow some more legal immigration. I also feel that we should not pursue criminal action agianst people who are technically illegal but could procure legal citizenship through the right means. Building walls does not solve the problem. Remember the Berlin wall? How would the world view the US if we built this suggested wall? We have enough image problems, the last thing we need to do is alienate our allies by appearing even more tyrannical than we already do due to our most recent military actions.

I know it is frustrating. I have written letter after letter to everyone I can think of to try and get the ball rolling over all of this. And it will. This mess took years in the making and now it is less than impossible to think it's going to get cleaned up in a very short time.

Illegals should be found, bound, and sent back to the inferno of hell from whence they came. They're a bunch of criminals who will break the law again and again. I think something needs to be done about it.
