What problems do those who are Illegals here face?

Mostly, bigotry of "the few..." but that's enough to make their lives indefinitely miserable. I feel heartfelt sympathy for those seeking a better life here in the U.S. who have had little options but to do it "illegally." At any rate, then, of course the biggest problem is that of staying UNDER the radar. If they have no identification that at least LOOKS "valid" and "made in the US," they are working on "borrowed time." It is difficult to get housing without it, and any conventional credit is almost "out the door."

Moreover, they are usually offered no "safety net" and if they get ill or require emergency medical treatment, that can spell the end of their sojourn here. If they have children to feed, their pressure-cooker is then complete as there has to be enough substantial work with adequate pay to meet the family's needs. The last thing that I can offer it the occasional person who takes advantage of the 'illegal' and pretty much pays below minimum wage because they know the worker has no recourse but to accept the situation or quit. And there are some who, if a worker were to quit mid-way through a job, would be vindictive and report the "illegal" to immigration authorities. The proposition of trying to make a life here as an illegal alien is,at best, precarious. So appropriating that "green card" is all important... only then can the illegal start to breathe more easily.

The problem lies within the ability to gain respect from the others around them.This country has a hard time judging what's right and what's wrong.In turn they are looked down upon and discriminated against regardless of there status in this country...tom science

None so far. They get everything free and expect sympathy for providing for their families. I think their government, seriously, needs to provide a living wage for them. I don't get that some ppl say, they are sending the US dollar home to provide for the family. Let us all support Americans and legal immigrants too, okay?

Well, I'm sure they're eaten up with guilt over breaking our laws...so, there's that. Probably makes them feel really bad when they're standing in line to get free stuff from us.

I would think they're problems would be 1. always looking behind them for any law enforcement officer (deportation) 2. a place to live, if they are just new to the country. Once they have been here for say a year or two they probably settle in and just have regular life problems, same as you or me.....
Since I'm not illegal or know anyone illegal (at the moment) I'm just speculating and thinking that these would be the top problems if it was me.

They face the fact that in order to stay away from the unrest in their countries they are in a country that they will not be able to advance and find comfort for fear of retribution from the Government but they are willing to risk it. I speak from knowing about several "Illegals". They were unable to come legally but took that chance those that I know were involved in crime in their country the only way to survive came here and have worked and tried to overcome the trials and tribulations.

been thinking about your question, the only real problem i see is Getting here. Transportation? No Problem. You dont need a vehicle or drivers license or insurance to take the Bus, ride a bike , or heck to drive illegally. Finding Work? No Problem. Many employers are happy to pay under the table. Its cheaper for them. Health Care? No Problem. The state takes care of that, Paid for by tax paying citizens. Language barrier? NO Problem. There is more foriegn Language publications, billboards store front advertising etc. in my neighborhood than there is in English. Education? No Problem. Housing? No Problem as long as you can handle having 5 familys living in one three bedroom house. The only Real problems i see are things that affect everyone equally, those being the daily struggle to survive, keep a roof over your head, provide for your family. Exist.

1. Getting the same rights and liberties that many US citizens take for granted.
2. being treated in a considerate manner by people when looking for work
3. Not having a social support system (family, friends, etc)

There are many problems that illegal immigrants face when coming to a new country. And, this is not limited to Mexican immigrants, but also to Asians, Middle Easterners, Pan-Asian immigrants and others. It is not as easy as people like to believe that an immigrant can land in the US and simply get welfare, health care and find a job and place to live with ease. It isn't easy.

It all depends on how politicians view it. If they see an opportunity at getting votes, illegals have not problems.
