What should we do about the illegals in this country?

Deport them. We sent men to the moon, and put 50,000 troops into France in less than 24 hours. We can deport them. It may just take a few years. After the first 100,000 or so, they will start to get the message and some will leave on their own, taking what they can instead of waiting for ICE to get them and being deported only with what they have on their backs.

Rounding them up & sending them back is good, but would be pretty hard. The border definitely needs to be enforced.

-Enforce the laws already on the books
-REQUIRE that all companies use the e-verification system in order to verify that the people they are hiring are legally here and/or US citizens. At the moment, that is a voluntary system.
-Stiffen the penalties for employers who are found to be hiring illegals
-Complete the fence on the southern, and build one on the northern borders, and build up the number of border patrol agents.
-Change the automatic citizenship for babies born here, making it so that at least one of the parents MUST be a US citizen
-Require that agencies, in order to give out state or federal funding such as welfare, housing, or food stamps also use the E-verification system to prove that those applying are legally here and/or citizens
-Require that local, state and federal police, in the course of their work, access the e-verification system to check the legality of anyone they pull over for speeding or other offenses, and detain them awaiting processing by ICE.
If you do the above, many will self-deport.

If thats the case then I think we need to bring back the draft and they will be the first ones to be drafted... Too many of "OUR" American( other countries as well) children are getting killed for a useless war and if the illegals are going to be allowed to stay here for nothing then they need to be sent over to fight just like the rest of us TRUE Americans... Why should they be allowed to stay here and reap many benefits when many of our poor people cant get the help they need???? Im sick of it.... I have a neighbor who works his butt off to support his 4 children and his wife and he went to try and get some help from the welfare system and they turned him down but yet the illegals can come over here and get just about anything they want.......... Makes me sick to my stomach!!!!!

They should be deported.

There are so many fraudulent identifications out there in the hands of the illegal aliens that they need to be deported and remain out of the country long enough that welfare accounts will be automatically closed. In reality, we won't know who has such welfare accounts, and who does not. Keep them all out of country for a year and those accounts will be cycled out for good. And yes.. it does have to be an extended time frame because the ability to get I.D. beyond the Real I.D. may be sufficient to reopen the accounts.

The U.S. cannot possibly deport all the illegal immigrants. Which is why I think that attrition through enforcement is one way to go. What it does is make it hard enough for them to live here that they go home. There are also things called sanctuary cities and these make it illegal for police to arrest and send illegal immigrants to be deported. These need to be gotten rid of.

Steal and "milk" the country, you really think that? You really think most immigrants want to be here...they have to come here for a chance at survivial. I grew up with many immigrants who all pay their taxes, contribute to society and do the dirty work that most 100% Americans refuse to do without a single complaint. You should travel outside the US more often, their are so many beutiful cultures that aren't so materialistic where people just want to live and enjoy their families. When the US places their factories in Mexico and don't allow for decent wages, the Mexican workers are forced to make a move in order to provide for their families, they are taking responsibility. Would you have the courage to go up against a nation of ignorant people like you? Think again.

You know...you can call b*tch n moan bout this topic but you're really just wasting your time...if some day they are actually able to deport every illegal (haha good luck wit that) by that time you will be dead, your children will be dead, your gandchildren will be dead etc. its a process that will take more than a few years...and good luck with your new life once they're all gone...bet you guys will have lots of fun tryin to pick up the economy again

Logistically speaking, it is impossible to deport 20,000 (or how many there are) illegal immigrants from this country,.

However, the new tax rebate may be one way. If an illegal tries to get a rebate, the government can send BCIS agents instead of checks to unregistered claimants' addresses, pick these people up and give them a choice of voluntary release into Mexico (if they are Mexican Nationals) or deportation proceedings.

Allowing illegals licenses would be another way of tracing them.

And how would you go on about this? Where are your arguments? I'm sick of people like you. You can't just send people back, they are economical refugees.Take for example Mexicans, they had a corrupt government for decades, they can't just go back and build their own ecomonomy because it's almost non-existant and resources are missing as well as infrastructure. Before you come up with stupid questions like that, go educate yourself.

Leave them alone. Behind each of them is their own life story more often than that a sad one. And plus who will do all that hard work for minimum wage they do. I think this country needs them ....

when our anglos came to America in the 1600s it was nothing but a wasteland and Americans fought indians, harsh winters, starved and were massacred by the thousands and raped by the indians. Indians had no title on America and there were over 500 different tribe with different cultures and languages. The problem was like the dinasaurs and that is they did not adapt. Americans owe you hispanics from Mexico nothing.

Since I believe that people should be able to travel where ever when ever they want, I do not believe in governments, borders or anything that would stop the natural migration of people. But, unfortunately we do have governments systems on this planet. So what to do about the "Illegals ins this country/" Simple leave them alone.
