What steps do I need to take to retrieve dual citizenship for my child after he is born?

I am due in June, and would like to retrieve a form to complete in order to apply for my son's dual citizenship. I am Australian myself living in the U.S and his dad is American. I know the process might take a while, but in the mean time, I hope to travel to Australia with my husband and child in July. Here are a few questions I need answered.
My husband is active military and has a military passport, can that be used to travel internationally? or will he have to attain a new passport?
How can I retrieve a U.S passport A-SAP after my son is born?
and obviously the question I am writing about, Which form do I need to fill out when applying for dual citizenship for my son and my husband?

if you are due in June? you need to make sure you apply immediately for a passport, remember it will be summer and many people will ask for a passport . here is the link for the child's passport

as for you? how long have you been in the US? after 3 years of marriage you may apply for your citizenship and may not have to wait until the child is born,
to provide your child with his citizenship? you will have to consult the Australian embassy in the US at this page.

about your husband? i guess he is only able to have one passport ,so he can travel on his free time.as far as him getting Australian citizenship? i always thought you had to be in the country to obtain it, i might be wrong ? i could not find a link to give you. |

You can simultaneously apply with birth certificate of your child.You can apply for Australian citizenship by descent at any nearest Australian High Commission.For US contact the nearest US Embassy with birth certificate etc. |
