I am very concerned about the legacy I am passing on to the next generation.

The legacy I hope to leave is one of values, fighting for what is right, and facing these issues head on...not one of apathy or "someone elses job/problem".

Hence I am fighting illegal immigration with all I have.

Hence I am supporting LEGAL immigration and the principles this country was founded on....give me your tired, your weary, etc........but let them be people who bring values, who aren't criminals, and who are self supporting.

Why is everyone so confused on this issue. Let me spell it out one more time...ILLEGALS....are not immigrants. They are criminals. IMMIGRANTS are people who follow the laws and come to this country legally. This country was not built by illegals. We are not descendants of illegals. Yes this is a major concern that we are being overrun by ILLEGALS. It is already affecting the future of our children. Their schools are already overcrowded. The health insurance costs are out of this world. The cities are overcrowded. We are letting them change our culture. I will tell them the stories of how their many relatives fought to build this country in many wars. I will tell them that they should be proud of their heritage and that it was the fault of the poorly run government who let them down. I will tell them I spent of lot of time and effort fighting for this country to enforce the laws. I will cry for them.

You can tell them that our very own government became so greedy and corrupt, so power hungry and uncaring, that the law became secondary. You can explain to them about the corrupt governments of the other countries that people flee from and how there was no integrity present in any office that was willing to help it's own...not here, not anywhere.

We will not have any grandchildren if La Raza has their way with us--extermination is the game plan. It will not be overrun. This is not a new issue for Americans, so I wish they'd stop treating it that way. At least the government is attempting to do something about it. That's more than we can say for oil prices. What will we tell our grandchildren when they ask why gas costs $8 per gallon?

I do think that when people come to this country they should obey the laws (no littering!), learn the language (they can still retain their own ethnicity) and do their best to be good citizens.

My ancestors came here for a better life. They learned the language, became citizens, worked, bought homes and contributed to society.
This is what America is all about. Both established and new residents need to make the attempt to bridge the gap, and I think learning the language is a big step.

I am Native American, so what should I tell my children about why there are so few people like them? About how their ancesotrs were slaughtered and forced by physical abuse to learn English and forget their customs?
