It's not quite the same, but director Bob Clark (Porky's, Look Who's Talking) and his 24 year old son were killed a few weeks ago by a DUI illegal alien on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. The alien had priors, had been deported before, yet he had a job and a family here.

People in the area, especially the show business community, were pretty pissed.

I guess he'll get to stay in this country after all, only in one place, though.

BTW. My wife had a collision with an illegal alien driver who subsequently fled the country. He had fake ID, fake drivers license, fake insurance...the whole gamut. WE had to pay the deductible on our insurance for the repairs....if she had been hurt of killed...we would have had no one to sue for medical bills...or anything else.

EDIT: Angela, you're right , driving drunk and killing someone is NOT a very nice thing to do, and we all are potential victims of this crime. I would be VERY upset, just as upset as I would be if a "regular" American citizen was run over or involved in a hit and run with an illegal alien.

I don't like the idea of anybody being killed by a drunk driver, even Teddy "I should have retired decades ago" Kennedy.

If this did happen, chances are it would be an illegal from Mexico since there are more drunk drivers, per capita, that are Mexican than any other group. ("Penerol" above said that only 9% were Mexican but that's a total lie!)

I don't think JFK is very proud of his "little" brother and the destruction he's causing America and the Democratic party. It is not the Dems from JFK's time!

My reaction if Ted Kennedy was killed in a head on with a drunk driving illegal alien with 5 priors and who was never deported would be the same as my reaction if Ted Kennedy was killed in a head on with a drunk driving US citizen with 5 priors. I would say that the law failed to protect a person who was innocently going about his business.

What, in God's name, does drunk driving have to do with country of residence and origin? Some people, no matter what country they come from or live in, recognize a duty to the safety of others. (I don't drink and drive because I don't want to be responsible for hurting or killing someone--not because of the cops).

Others just don't care. It's got nothing to do with being alien, illegal or otherwise.

Shame on you. You should know that.

If you are simply slamming illegal aliens, then do it without a bunch of BS about a drunk killing a senator.
