Because what they love about Mexico is the people and memories they left behind, the friends and the region that is so beautiful. What they hate and try to escape is the poverty, crime and government corruption that no matter how hard you try to fight against it, it will always come out winning. America has it's shares of slums, homegrown criminals and corruption as well, but we love it because the "idea" of America and first thing that comes to anyone's mind is the freedom you have to be who and what you want to be and because of the opportunities we have here to obtain this. Can you blame anyone of any country for wanting that?

1st you might want to try that spell check button. Mexico is poor. They have little opportunity for a decent future. They come here for the same opportunity that many of our parents and grandparents came here for. Ultimately, anywhere there is a prosperous nation that borders a poor one, there will be illegal immigration problems.

Some places in Mexico ARE nice...I can see why they might say that. I've seen some beautiful pictures of different areas, Cancun, for example. But, no one really wants to talk about the seedier side of things, where the problems are, 'cause that's no fun.
We ignore poverty in america, too, 'cause it's hard to look at.
They talk about a global 'war on poverty', and that's a great concept, because people that have enough aren't desperate, or as desperate, and therefore less likely to go out and commit a crime.

Life, basic life, doesn't really cost that much. Some people get by on 2 bucks a day, doesn't sound like much, but it buys enough food to get from one day to the next. Still, that's a rough life, and not much room for error from one day to the next. So, it's a great concept to try and end poverty. But, it's equally important to look at the root causes OF poverty, and there's been some big changes in the world in the last 50 years. Our population has almost doubled, there's been wars, famines, disease, stuff like that, and with big population growth, some problems are only going to get worse. It is forecast(estimated) that there will be over 9 billion people in the world by 2050. That's assuming there's no increase in the growth rate from now back to 1965 or so. We live, as the chinese might say, in 'interesting times'...

Well its because it is a grand place.they are proud of where they came from. just like i'm sure if you visited or lived in another country you would brag about how great your country of origin is. and mexicans don't stay there the same reason pilgrims didn't stay in europe,because the government is corrupted,the cops are corrupted and because they no longer feel safe there and were tired of the rich exploiting them.So now that i answered your question tell me why did your ancestors move to the U.S to begin with and please don't give me the i'm 1/3 native american story because if we all look back into our history we all have native american blood in us. i'm just interested in the European or Irish or whatever other country your descendants came from. why did they move here if it was so great there?

Becuase in alot of cases, if you beomce a citizen LEGALLY America can open alot of doors to families who live in Mexico. There are alot of work and school opertinities that they may not be able to recieve in Mexico that they can in America. People just want what is best for there family. No one ever wants to just come here illegally and start trouble.

People leave Mexico for a lot of reasons. First, it takes one year to start a legal business in Mexico. Second, Mexican economy is closed to those that don't belong to a Union, or a monopolistic state or private enterprise. Finally. The wage ratios in Mexico are to 10 to 1, and Southern Mexico makes 3 times less than Northern Mexico. To it in perceptive Mexico in 2006 has a standard of living like Untied States in 1935 that will explain the migration pull right there. A person who stays in Mexico its because they have a job to raise a family, and pay bills. The Mexican economy needs to produce one million jobs a year, but it only produces like half that amount. That surplus of workers is gonna head to Untied States its simple supply and demand of labor.
The higher standard of living Mexico has the higher standard of living we have in the Untied States. Internal growth is lacking in Mexico, but it takes time to untangle the mess the PRI left behind from 70 years of mismanagement and graft. Income parity should be the goal with Mexico long term. The comment you made is based on lack of knowledge and information on the economic and social sitatuons in Mexico.

Actually have you actually heard them say that? Most of them usually say that there are no well paying jobs and that they came here for opportunity. Also I find your tone of voice offensive even though I am not Mexican. You can also see Americans who go overseas to work and yet when they get there, they tell everyone how 'great' the USA is....and yet they are not citizens of those countries either. Everyone, including you, is at fault for believeing your own country is the best place in the world--even though others may feel otherwise. Its perspective and opinions, not fact.

I think SOME of the answers to your question are racist and blind. If people were informed and honest they wouldn't be attacking your question.

Mexico IS a racist country and they made immigration in our country a nightmare because the majority of illegals here are from Mexico and the Mexican government is pushing their people to come here as they DEMAND we leave our border open for their peoples convience. While doing all this, they refuse to assimilate, instead they're trying to force us to assimilate to them. Why? Because they say this continent, including Canada belongs to them, gringos do NOT belong here, we are to leave or die.

Mexican is NOT a race, it's a nationality. They push their people here and their people want to come here for MONEY, not because they like America or hate Mexico. They love their country and hate the white man. They don't blame Mexico for it's poverty, they blame the US. And of course Mexico is addicted to the remittances.

Since they believe the US belongs to Mexico, they are working toward getting as many of their people here as possible to occupy our cities and states and eventually overthrow our government by having as many radical hispanics elected as possible.

There is several powerful ones in Washington already, one is Gonzales, a nifty radical LaRaza member. Remember their popular saying? Everything for the race (theirs) nothing for the rest. And they say we're racist? They don't want to live around us anymore than we want to live around them, the difference is they want us dead. Mexicans have nothing Americans want but we have everything Mexico wants.

They believe the stupid propaganda they've been taught. They were told, the money is in the land, get rid of the white man and you'll live happily ever after in their wealth. Once they get rid of the hand that feeds them, the US will be a clone of Mexico, what will they do then? They'll make a deal with another unsuspecting country that will allow millions of their people to invade it, drain it dry and move on again.

Mexicans praise their country because they mean it, they really believe the only reason they have less is because we have more. They rob Americans on vacation in Mexico on a regular basis and their favorite saying is "I'm going to take everything the gringo has". They then proceed to carry through with that plan once they come here. Radial LaRaza has already made it clear American's WILL financially support Mexicans AND we are!

If I had the money I'd get the hay out of the US, I'd migrate to Australia, an English speaking country, alot of S. Africans are migrating there, they are assimilating, so that's cool with me. I hate even one cent of my tax dollars going to Mexico or their people.

But then I heard Mexico has already sent their gov officials to Australia to try and make a financial deal. If they accept, I'd have to live around them there to. If I never see another immigrant from Mexico again, it'll be to soon. Australia would be foolish to accept any deals with Mexico, Mexico deals one way...their way, they change your laws and their people demand you assimilate to them.
