When I am visiting in Mexico, I'm asked for my papers all the time, I'm white, blonde hair and green eyes?

Isn't this racism in Mexico against me?

Because when I read the following statements all over the place for the main reason "they" are against the Arizona law,

...........Critics of the law also say it unfairly targets Hispanics and could lead to racial profiling.......

So, basically, when I visit Mexico and they see me, a blonde haired, green eyed American, they are racially profiling me by asking me for our paperwork???? This has nothing to do with their immigration process, they are only targeting me because of my race.

It sadly does seem that that's what's happening. In Mexico there are a lot of corrupt officers and people who work in law. They just work in the field to earn money. Some of them may just be pissed off because of what's going on in Arizona, and they are releasing the anger by, like you said, racial profiling. Maybe if you visited a tourist city, a more known one, you would have better luck.

You have it right...but the Federales don't just as you because your white. They ask all people. Every immigrant and citizen must carry identification at all time. The identification a Mexican citizen acts as a national card indicating citizenship. And they board buses, trains and stop cars to ask for documents.

They taken illegals who come through their country from Guatemala, Salvador, Honduras, etc...take their money and all their belongings, through them in jail, beat them, then send them on their way back to their country. In something like ONE week.

I am Mexican and live in a fairly large city and here is my take on the subject.
Are you kidding right? There is an American living down the street for several years...is he an illegal? don't know! and I don't really care! We have a lot visitors from all over the world and nobody will ask you for anything...we do not care! if you are legal or not...and FYI there are a lot of white mexican people around here...I am white myself...so short answer...nope,you wont be asked for anything.
pd try travel more often it might help to change your view of the world.
