no they won't b/c if they did then i don't think there would be poor people in this world b/c the jobs are endless when it comes to picking fruits and vegetable and working in hot *** sewing factories. many americans wouldn't be caught dead working in places like that, they would rather get on welfare and live off of others.

If you really think that the economy will collapse because illegals go home, you need more than a 6th grade education. Sure would be tough if those contractors had to start paying AMERICANS a real wage instead of pocketing the extra profits from paying an illegal half as much. First of all, the billions of dollars a year that is being drained from the taxpayers for them to live, work, get into wellfare, social services, medicaid, and education without having to contribute, could go towards the jobs they do to make up for it. This way things balance themselves out. We would probably even have money left over that can go to other problems this country has besides illegal immigration. Another thing I get sick of is hearing people say this country can't keep moving without them. Maybe they do the jobs that no one else will do, but we are the reasons they have those jobs and places to live and go to school. Our taxes go to these things. So if the average were as lazy as some people say we are, then we wouldn't work, therefore not being taxed, therefore the illegals couldn't work, or get on affordable housing, or wellfare, or social services, or medicaid without having to contribute. They might be becoming the majority of people in this country, but they will always depend on Americans to support them, making them the minority.

I'm over the whole Americans won't do jobs- the reason illegal immigrants get those jobs is because the companies can get away with giving them crappy wages, no taxes, and they do not have to supply heath care.. if you hire Americans there are more stringent rules that apply to them.. that is why the majority of illegals get those jobs and not Americans - Less unemployment for Americans! This is the naive view of the liberals here. Americans will work the farming jobs for a fair wage. The wage increase to hire citizens would not cause a large rise in prices, fuel prices have more of an effect than wages. The illegals cost more than they contribute to our society. If our bleeding heart politicians would cut welfare to people who are capable of working and forced them to get a job to survive then the orange fields would be loaded with job seekers.

Okay, My Dad owns a Huge Construction business and after another hard working illegal alien has stolen from him and dissapeared, He drives Down the street to the race trak where there has to be 100 of them lined up ready to work...I know that the reason he hires them instead of americans is because they will work for 3 or 4 dollars/hr. However, I don't think if the illegal immigrants left our economy would go down, It would give all of our americans a chance to go out and get those jobs that the "aliens" are stealing, and who cares if the rich guy has to pay 2more dollars/ hr? It will just even things out a little.

I agree with you a 100%. People say that Americans WILL work those jobs, yet I have to see one follow through. The haters are talking alot but saying nothing. Funny how they say they will do the work, as they sit behind the computer in their cushined chair.

The thing that bothers me is this, everyone is calling names, and pointing fingers at the illegals (primarily hating on Mexicans) when they should be pointing the finger at our Governement and the INS for not doing better!!! As the immigration policy is written now, it costs an absurd amount of money to become a legal resident, the conditions that come with gaining a legal status are out of reach to the poverty stricken people needing legallization. I support the immigrants BECAUSE number one, the majority of them are day laborers here, just trying to feed their families back home, and second becuase I see this more as a Governmental error than anything. Immigration is in need of DRASTIC reform, but we cant expect a fence to hold them back no more than we can expect deportation to work. They will just come back. This problem cant be fixed by an army of busses, or a fence. It has to start in the INS itself. Find away to get the ones who are here LEGAL, fine them for using fake papers, but dont think for a minute that this problem is as easy as the 'haters' are making it out to be.

People choose to hate because that is what we have become, a nation of haters. We have been taught that this is the best country in the world and for us it is, but in teaching us that, we also began to assume we are somehow better than the rest of the world.

I value the opinions of others as much as the next guy, but all this hating is overwhelming our society and OUR YOUNG children. They go to school with the 'illegal children', and hate them, why? Because the parents teach them that. The assumption that we are better because we have money or whatever is absurd. We are in fact the country in need of the most help. We take God out of school more than anyother country, we spend our money on other places before helping our own. I love my country, but its our Governement that is in need of an overhaul, and the racisit minds it has sent in motion.
