When is the earliest i can submit my green card renewal form?

It said on the USCIS website that i can submit the I-90 within 6 months before my green card expire? I am just wondering can i submit the application even earlier, for instance 1 year before my green card expire

i try to call them before, but i don't know how to talk to a representative. it's all automated.

I don't think so. You have to wait until 6 months before it expires. In case you want to make sure just go to their website and find out a phone number you can call and talk to them.
