I do not see these great kind people starting a fund to cover the cost of the people being here-not the people-but the cost we are all paying. Nor did people kick in for the hospitals that closed. Or for the schools--if so many think they should stay-where is this fund started to pay for the cost? Sell your belongings-your house and do it. Show us how much you care. Let us see those so kind hearts of yours. Where is this fund and when will you start it? Let us see if in a month or two if that happens.

My grandmother wasn't a slave, but she picked cotton. It was the Depression, doctor's were peddling apples door-to-door. Women took in boarders and laundry for the neighborhood. People pulled together. If (hopefully, when) we deport all the illegals, we'll just pull together again. There will always be someone willing to do any job. They may not like it. They may scrimp and save to get a better job in a better town with better pay, but until then, they will work.

Reagan gave Amnesty to illegals to keep us from being overrun. Now look at us.

Ask any Native here and they'll tell you that when the U.S. can't hold it's own anymore, WE'RE taking it back. Heck, many tribes even have it Prophesied! I haven't spoken to a single person who supports illegal aliens.
I live in Florida, and we have quite a population of folks who are illegal, and are employed. No, I don't "support" them, but I can empathize. I can support logical plans for preventing them from coming here in the first place. I can get behind legislation that punishes the greedy business owners who are employing them illegally. I cannot jump on the send them home bandwagon though. We've been sleeping through this issue for decades, now we want to round them up and put them on a boat? Well, I think that's the same mentality of the suggestions to send all black people "back" to Africa. It's not logical, it's just flat stupid. Like it or not, no one can deny that America has indeed been conducive to illegal immigrants. We need to punish the American's who disobey the laws that are in place, and are supposed to protect our country from a large illegal populace, not punish people who have already been here for years, and have established a livelihood for their families. I'm supposed to be okay with depriving their children of an education, or turn people away at the emergency room when they seek medical care, or ship them back to where they came from? That's pretty inhumane.
If these folks came here, and were not able to obtain legal employment, they'd take their own butts back to where they came from when they get hungry enough.
Why would rounding people up, and shipping them out of America be any different than what happened in the Gaza strip? Or was that okay, by American standards?
I agree that the market will adjust. I agree that we can't continue to take in illegal immigrants, but all the rhetorical ship them back garbage is not a solution. It's like dumping cancer onto your own hand, then griping about the fact that you have cancer, and chopping your hand off. You shouldn't have dumped the cancer on your hand in the first freaking place!

Maybe we will when people like you and Wade stop being ignorant and blaming social ills on them. However, most of the illegal immigrants who have been here for about a decade or two most likely have a roof over their heads anyhow. I still have yet to see proof that illegal immigrants are to blame for most of our violent crimes. Could the rise in violent crime be more out of frustration of where people are in their lives, not to mention a shoddy economy and the fact that the jobs they have aren't paying a living wage? I think so.

I say if were going to stop taking care of people, we should also make the thousands of lazy people who are able to make an ends for themselves get their a**es up and get jobs. That way none of you people or myself are taking care of anyone other than our own.

Also for the record, there are a lot of legal immigrants here on welfare too. So guess what you're probably still feeding and taking care of them.

After securing the borders and granting amnesty to the people who have lived and worked here for 15-20 years (largely ignored). They will already be settled, have their own rooms, food, and years of continuous employment. Therefore I will not need to give up any room of mine or add on.
