Im Australian, its real easy for us to come over their to work, but im only 18. Just curious where if any is alot of jobs sparking up, i will do most things...laborer, prison guard...etc , i just wanna experice america for a bit

You won't be able to be a prison guard unless you are a permanent resident or maybe a citizen.
Right now jobs are tight and things are bad, as I'm sure you know. If you are coming for a year or two on a youth work visa, fine, you would try for places like bars, coffee shops, etc. Fast food. But right now I don't know that there are many companies hiring. Good luck though. |

I guess you haven't heard. The US has a double digit unemployment rate. Lots and lots of Americans are losing their jobs and businesses are closing. In my county and the surrounding counties, unemployment is almost 15 percent. This is caused by sending our jobs to other countries. What a total mistake this was. |

They just recently opened up a new detention center here in Atlanta. That's a 100 jobs that had just been created. |

This is going to sound totally cliche, but I always had Australian camp counselors when I went to summer camp. I believe there are agencies that will set you up with a camp and all that, so you could check that out if you just want to visit the US for a few months. |
