Ive about had it with their website its absolutely ridiculous and not helpful. Im trying to find an application for obtaining permanent residency and i cant find one, can anyone help?
I already live here with my bf on a 6months visitor pass

It depends on what class you are applying under. If you want to apply under the Federal skilled worker program, Quebec skilled worker program or a PNP program, go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp for your forms.
If you find that you don't meet the requirements to apply under those classes, you would have an option to marry your boyfriend and for him to sponsor you as a spouse or apply for a visit visa extension to live together for a full 12 months and then apply for sponsorship as common law partners. If you do this, you would find the forms at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp#step1 The difference between saying that you live in Canada or live outside Canada is the application is faster if you live outside so I would recommend to go with that one.
However, nothing is fast with immigration. If you get permanent residency 6 months after you apply, you are lucky. It can easily take a year or more. Good luck :) |

First you need to decide which category you qualify to apply under.
The reason I ask this is you need to know the following answer to get the right forms. Will you apply from INSIDE canada or from OUTSIDE canada.
Also note that if you are applying as common-law, you will not qualify UNTIL you have lived together for 12 months AND have proof.

Now that you have been in Canada for 6 months, you MUST apply for an extension to STAY in CAnada, UNLESS both of you go back to your country and live together there, for the next 6 months. |
