The first known victim of the swine flu was an child living near an American owned pig farm a few miles from Vera Cruz Mexico.

The swine flu started in Mexico. They knew something was about about 4 weeks ago. The greedy as Mexican government just didn't want to say anything. They were more concerned about getting tourist revenue and getting rid of Mexican citizens that they don't want. Shut the damn border now! |

Here are the facts!
From the CDC Site:
From December 2005 through February 2009, a total of 12 human infections with swine influenza were reported from 10 states in the United States.
Of course our government would love all of us to believe it started in Mexico, but hey, It is easier to place the blame else where and the US is good at that! |

It could be Pluto also!
Swine flu has been around forever. It was isolated back in 1930! It seems that when conditions are just right you have an outbreak!
Official says its not necessarily Mexico, could be Texas, Calif. That's one person! If it was started in Texas or CA you would think that there would be sick people there and not in Mexico would you?

Of course he fails to cite the fact that it is a different strain of swine flu! But Mexico wants to blame the US so you hear cr@p like this! |

I think that it started in Mexico. I really hope that it is cured soon though. I mean it could kill so many people it already killed so many people. |

When it comes to mexico you can't believe a word they say. They are trying to blame us and trying to save their tourism industry. |

I am absolutely horrified by this news. Swine flu began in Mexico due to nasty pig farms. They believe they have narrowed it down to the first victim struck being a young boy (who lived, by the way). Check out the CNN coverage. So many diseases come here from these poor, third-world countries. It's enough to make you want to close the borders. Seriously, these countries bestowed on us the gifts of Polio, HIV, Ebola, Swine Flu, the list goes on and on. It almost seems to boil down to a lack of basic personal hygiene. If the people near the pig farms in Mexico made sure to drink clean water - boil it first if its not clean! - wash hands before eating and after using the restroom, ect., this outbreak wouldn't have occurred. Close the borders to and fro third world countries and we would be saving a lot of Americans health problems and heart break. It's sad but true. |

it started when big corporations went to mexico to raise pigs because they wanted to avoid legal restrictions on sanitation and such. once in mexico they did not have to worry about keeping the place clean, they just paid off some official. bacteria started spreading to the pigs because the corporation did not sanitise the place. the flu started. it spread to humans. and now the world will see MASSIVE DE-POPULATION. Google that. |

It would appear to have started in Mexico then spread over the border into California. We are always susceptible to new strains of viruses etc and there is nothing we can do but hope we don't catch it before a vaccine has been produced. I certainly won't worry about it and I would be more concerned about catching MRSA if I had to go into hospital. |
