Can you believe the talent we would have lost had these people all have remained in their NATIVE homeland, incidentially I am 1/4 NATIVE AMERICAN this is MY LAND we argue about....and that of my people. Based on that, what you say is true. As long as you don't start comparing ILLEGAL ALIENS to REAL immigrants, such as those above, or all other LEGAL immigrants in the U.S.

Nobody gets citizenship BEFORE they get here. They come here legally and then go through the process of becoming a citizen.

Having returned to this question, I can see now that you do not understand the difference between illegal and legal immigrants. Given the list you have provided, how many of those people believe that entering a country legally is the right way to start a new life?

These are primarily entertainment stars. While I do think that artists are important, I would hope that we can find more significant contributions to society (scientifically, as humanitarians, civil rights leaders). Perhaps people that actually molded our country- not just what we rock to- or think is "pretty"?

NONE of these people were illegal aliens, and they WERE legal when they arrived in the country even though they were not yet full fledged American citizens.

Obviously you don't KNOW that you do NOT have to be a citizen prior to entering the U.S. to be here legally.
