I think that Ray Here should observe the old adage, please ensure brain is engaged before operating mouth ! The Uk does not have an open door policy for imigrants from former colonies, he is getting confused I think with the right of citizens from ANY EU countyr to have the right to free travel between any other EU country and also have the right to reside in any other EU country. Still, we must make allowances I suppose, after all he is only an American! |

In actual numbers, the USA
In percentage terms, Canada narrowly beats Australia then comes the USA.
And rabidkitty - Australia recognises and even encourages dual citizenship - immigrants do not have to give up their citizenship. |

If you go by just numbers, the U.S. annually accepts more immigrants than any other country, by far.
If you go by percentage, however, then I'm not sure. But I'd guess it was America too. |

I believe it is actually Australia but they require immigrants to give up their citizenship from their home country.
That makes a lot of sense because if you are going encourage and sponsor immigration, you want to make a lot of Australians not long term visitors.
Never been there, would love to visit one day. |
