Legal Immigrants, yes they should be here.
Illegal Aliens should not be here, and they have criminalized themselves, by their own actions.
If you do something wrong, don't you have to face the consequences? In America, we do.

Well, the subject kind of confuses me...I understand that their looking for a better life, and I have friends that are from Mexico, and they deserve a better life...The only thing I am for it because of is that it's providing more safety for our country. It would make it easier to find terrorists....but the people that are here and waving their Mexican Flags and all...if you want to stay in the US then why are you waving the Mexican flag

I don't agree with you, ILLEGAL immigrants should be deported. They did do something wrong, they came in here illegally,
therefore breaking Americas laws. Making themselves criminals. There is an immigration process for a reason, the influx of so many is not good for any nation, economically & ecologically.

They broke the law. Why is that so hard for them to understand. There are hundreds of thousands of people who are waiting to enter this country legally. Why should people immigrating here legally be penalized because they used a plane to get here. Many of they people waiting to come here legally are coming for a better life as well but they are doing it legally. "So coming here for a better life" is an asinine statement. Who isn't?

They should stay with the following repercussions...
- Fine them for breaking the Law.
- Make sure they will be good citizens, by that I mean, no serious criminal offenses, will pay taxes, will atempt to speak our language, etc.

Block the border to prevent any new illegal immigrants from entering, if they are caught then the new ones will be sent back. But this proposition is for the illegal ones that are here now.

This is a MAJOR issue and needs careful speculation from both Democrats and Republicans. It is not an overnight decision.

Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are six billion people on this planet. At least one billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

I am with you and I am a registered Republican. I work with two guys who are illegal and they are good people. They work harder than anyone else I work with. All they want is a better life for their family, is that a sin?

I totally agree. I just think that if they get documented, and become legal, they would get a lot of people off their back. It's hard because almost everybody's ansestors came from somewhere else, and I'm sure at one point were illegal.

Just don't take offense to anything anybody tells you. You will get a lot of crazy remarks. It makes you want to tell each and everyone of them off. But you can't win them all. Some people just don't know how to think outside the box.

i disagree unless they get legalized. I am tired of paying taxes so that they can work and recieve welfare, and free medical. social security might be in better shape if they had to pay taxes too...if they continue to drain government funds by the time you retire there will be nothing for you to retire on...

THEY DID SOMETHING WRONG!!! THEY CAME HERE ILLEGALLY!!! They stop other people with better job skills from coming here. This makes things worse for us here and keeps talented people out of the US becuase their "space" is used up by the 11 or 12 million illegals in the US. Immigrants YES illegal Immigrants HELL NO! It can take some one 10 years or more to come here legally why should we just hand it out now thats not fair at all. I know 2 people that came here legally and it took them both more then 10 years to become a citizen and I am so proud of them.

If I had a bunch of pre-conditions met I would support legalizing screened illegals, but without ability to bring in MORE family which would quadrupal existing numbers. My pre-conditions would be:

1. REAL border security
2. REAL interior enforcement going forward
3. NO increase in immigration limits going forward unless the employers of 'guest workers' independently provide for the education and health care needs of their work force and its families.
4. Dismantling the benefit magnet for illegal aliens in this country such as in-state tuition and health care beyond emergency care.

Essentially, I'd have to know that this is the last time this would happen.

However, I don't believe they did no wrong coming here. We pay the lion's share of education and health care benefits for poor people even if they pay ALL taxes for their income group. Education is $18,000 per child per year in California, and the schools there are overcrowded and underfunded. Given the huge influx of illegal immigrants the only special eduction need routinely seen to by the school system without a fight is ESL needs, which are very expensive.

Meanwhile ESL programs slow instruction for the other children.

For people legally here, that is fair. We invited them. For those illegally here, they are stealing education from my children and making us foot the bill.

We limit poor immigrants because we pay for them. No one we didn't agree to let in has any right to be here and make us pay for them too.

They came here for a better life but they made someone Else's life worse off. I guess it doesn't matter that these people steal social security numbers and make life miserable for the people that now have tons of problems because of credit issues.

That is just one example and I could go on and on with others but would it really do any good when you seem to think it's perfectly fine to break the laws of this country.

i agree,illegal or not,they should be able to stay.i belive if they want to come here to work & they are illegal,its ok.what harm are they doing.
