I'm mad too! They have this "big family" mentality, and there is no way their economy can provide enough jobs or healthcare benefits for them, so they run across the border and have more kids. I hope american's realize we can't fix their population explosion, and we will destroy our economy if we try. I hope this anger doesn't produce any violence against them individually, but I do hope it compels us to build a bigger fence and stop rewarding our companies for hiring them.

So does my husband. And our family has never been on welfare. So before you go grouping everyone together...get a clue. My family came here without the help of welfare...ever. I do understand that they may be taking YOUR jobs. But if you had skills, you wouldn't have to worry about it. They take the jobs that the Americans won't do. Mexicans are hard workers, the do what it takes. If you want to know the truth....the rest of the world thinks that AMERICA is the most lazy country!

I am just as alarmed as you by the Bush plan for "A pathway to citizenship" which promises huge and almost immediate payoffs for illegals to come to America without truly wanting to be a citizen. The plan is also supported by almost all Democrats in congress, so they will likely partner with the President (talk about strange bedfellows) to completely change the character of our country for the sake of cheap labor and/or misplaced sympathy toward the world's poor.

I must stress strongly that I and most conservatives value hardworking immigrants who come here legally with a goal of becoming American citizens. We just disagree with the current trend of giving away US benefits to people who shout "Aztlan" and wave Mexican flags demanding free healthcare, free welfare, free schooling, ect.

I cant beleive wat all these gueros are saying not all mexicans have big families and use welfare to live. Im Mexican and proud of it and I can tell every last one of you that no one in my family or any of my friends have ever applied or even thought about using welfare so ur assumption is wrong. So what i suggest to every single one of you guys is to get your facts straight and then start making your assumptions.

I am so mad too. They come here to work in our fields picking crops, to work in construction for dirt cheap, clean our bathrooms, cook our foods, raise our cattle, mine for our coal and oil, manufacture many goods and to drive us around. Who are they to come here and take your job "Me"!!!

I hope you are intelligent enough to know that I am being sarcastic. This is by far the stupidest thing ever. Don't complain about the immigrants that come to the country, complain about the inadequacy of the healthcare and support systems that are available. Also for your information, Mexicans and minorities are not the only ones that abuse the help given to them by the government. But hey if you want them out get yourself and all the people that follow you to take the jobs back, you know those they took from you. I must also add that you misspelled welfare.

Mexicans or other immigrants cannot collect welfare unless they are citizens. If they are, then it's their right to collect and you should be fine with that. I'm assuming you're family migrated to America at one point.

I live in Montgomery AL live around these Mexicans you refer to, the only people drawing welfare here are the blacks. I go to work every morning as does my Hispanic neighbors. They are hard working people as much as my wife and i our. Perhaps its the state you live in that allows welfare to be abused

BOston area problem is BRAZILLIANS and guatamalans and El Salvadorians. They are here illegally and stand around at public parks every day waiting to be picked up for illegal work by contractors who screw union guys by hiring unskilled labor for 1/2 the cost of a union guy. They are all at the welfare offices I know because I work next to one and thats what I see there and believe me NONE of them speak english or care to. I am 1st generation American ..ITALIAN and my family couldnt run their asses across the border. They had to come here legally and have a sponsor and a YOB and all that crap. Thats all we askl. WE allow Illegal residents to get citizenship for a child conceived by them when they should not be here! That is our own idiocy!

WE allow OUR employers to discriminate against OUR citizens and hire Undocumented workers Illegally all to save Unemployment taxes, employer taxes, worker's comp. and more-this all comes back to sting the community while the employer saves a little!

It's a loophole. A baby born here is a citizen of this country. So as we honor that policy we have to provide for it... So they tack on 20 more kids... I blame Catholicism and it's preaching of no contraception... (that'll piss someone off, but I don't care anymore)
