I'm waiting for my status adjustment to be approved, and I'm a high school graduate from FL.

actually, you can be in the US and adjust status under the Diversity Visa Program, as long as you're in status on your nonimmigrant visa at the time. Basically, you have to be from a country that is eligible to enter the DV program and have at least a high school diploma, so at this point, you wouldn't be eligible as you don't have a high school diploma. If one of your parents applied and won, then you'd be able to adjust with them as their dependent. check out http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_1318.html .

like nepal...
i know a lot of people from nepal who are here because of the lottery..

but i'm from india, and india provides a lot of immigrants, so no indian can come on a lottery..

but to apply for a lottery, you need to be IN your country, and then apply..
