Mexicans are not U.S. Native Americans. In fact, they never got along and they speak different languages.
The Southwest's Apache warrior Chief Geronimo was proud to have killed so many Mexicans after they brutally killed his wife, his children, and his mother.
Also, The Southwest's Apache language is not Aztec( Mexican ). The Apache language is part of the Athabaskan (Na-Dene) Language Family which is spoken from California to Alaska. ( Not Mexico )
The Southwest was actually Spanish terroritory. People from Europe created and named the first cities in California |

Well obviously the indians but I can say that I'm from here because I was born here. So if I was to go back to where I came from it would just be a couple states away. I think the reason people say that, incuding myself, to others is because they complain about our country. SOOOOO...if you don't like it..leave and/or go back to where you or you're ancestors came from or somewhere else altogether. |

My grandfather was a 100% Creek indian, so if I had to go back to where I came from, I'd already be there. My dad was born in Raleigh, NC, and was 1/2 indian. That makes me 1/4 indian, I guess. The thing is, I was born here, and I believe this country is the greatest country on the whole world.
If you don't like this country or what it stands for (freedom), then go back to Africa, you ape. (another person gave a answer that everybody came from Africa, and they are wrong, wrong, wrong, because we all are NOT blacks from Africa). |

Hey , get a life . That was over 600 years ago . Now if you want to go back that far , then there were no Latinos in Mexico either .
All of North and South America were inhabited by Indians . In fact there was no America's , they had not been discovered yet .
And they think the Native Indians might have migrated from Russia when the Continent was still connected

I've read Some interesting posts tonight. Hello everyone. already_enuff_spice_in_this is my ID. I too am a Native American from the Nez Perce tribe though I know for a fact some don't believe it when I say it but my parents, family and tribe know the truth . I don't want to get started on where "we" came from but I will say just a little. The way I see it is we were the ones that had established our land and we were the ones that the other cultures had found living here when they were lost. My mother and I were discussing similar things that were written here tonight. She gets irritated to hear things like some of the comments. The fact remains, we were here, we weren't lost even though a lot of people claim Native Americans came across the land bridge. IF we did we were the only ones able to adapt to the harsh changing climate when other couldn't with out help from us. That's all. Good evening. |

The indigenous peoples from the regions of North America now encompassed by the continental United States, including parts of Alaska, i.e. the Native Americans.
---------------------
(Afterflake) There is no evidence to prove that the Salutrians predated the oldest (theoretically) Asian migration. Dating of mitochondrial DNA shows that the first Americans arrived (theoretically) from Asia at least 20,000 years ago.
-----------------------
(free_eagle) Natives did not have immigration laws, we did not believe in land ownership until the whites came, but that does not mean we were open to giving up our old lifestyle. The old life ("running around in buffalo skins") is something that I am very proud of. The colonists did not do natives a favor by lumping them on reservations to form the USA.
This is 2007. I am a full blooded Lakota Sioux, I believe in land ownership, I am a modern day American citizen, rancher, voter and taxpayer. All illegals should be deported. |

I am Native American. How do you like that?!
Actually there was a time when all the land masses and continents were one chunk of land. Their separations came from earthquakes, flooding, natural disasters, etc... The peoples and animals became separated on that ride.
The recent events of weather changes, and such are because the earth itself is shifting its position. It is a known fact that Australia is shifting North 2 inches every year which is why more and more of that continent is getting hit harder farther inland with cyclones. Now it may not put the lands back together, but it certainly explains more than you can of it.
We never saw fit to claim or own land and the like because we traveled with the seasons changes annually. And we didn't and still don't believe anyone can really have ownership of things that were given to all. e.g. Air, water, land, fire, etc... |

the tide is turning on just who got here first. the salutrians are making their way into the books as some of the first people to come to america. these people are from europe, france-spain. tools found around america are not the clovis points that should be found if they were made from the alaska/siberian peoples, but the tools are those found in europe made by the salutrians. it is beginning to look like they came down the ice sheet that connected north america with europe. they now believe that people were here way before the clovis people. i read somewhere that the dna of the slautrians have been discovered in east coast indians, but i do not really now how reliable that source is. |

Actually, per archeology finds, there were Europeans here before Natives came across the land bridge. However, it isn't relevant since we got the land the same way every country got its land, and just like every other country, have the right to say who else can come in. |

Actually, technically everyone came from Africa originally - scientists have traced back all humans to one tribe in Africa, so no one can really tell anyone to go back where they came from unless they are hypocrites, as the species originated in the same place =) |

Yep! Africans, one and all!!
But, seeing as this is posted in the immigration section I assume you're talking about people who are trying to secure the borders, right?
I can assure you that, if the economy of Mexico were 20 times stronger than that of the U.S., there would have been a 30 foot double wall the first year. No "whitey" would be allowed south!
At least in the U.S., we're only asking that people respect the laws that made the country economically sound. Without those laws, we'll become as poor as Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, etc.
So, if you're speaking of legal immigrants, WELCOME. But for lawbreakers and those who refuse to contribute optimally (labor is not optimal, nano-technology combined with standard robotics can pick lettuce and berries MUCH cheaper than human hands - just requires a steep initial investment) then you must want to be poor. If you want to be poor, go to a poor country. Otherwise, don't have a kid if you don't have the money to pay its medical bills and send it to college.

It is strongly believed that man began in Africa and branched out from there. The first Americans came over the land bridge from asia. So if you want to tell people to go back from where they came everyone would have to head for Africa. |

~It's always been known that Indians were here first. Even the one asking the question knows that. People can make up stuff as they go, and try to make up some retrospective BS, but it doesn't change the facts.
SCARLETT, is your last name Harlot? I've noticed you making racial slurs about Indians, what is your problem? It is also known that Indians lived off the land and gave back to it. We didn't rob nature by making buildings and causing mass pollution. We didn't CREATE jobs way back when, but we sure do now, with our CASINOS!!!.. HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT?!! Why do you think we are able to have them? Think about that. America was still America when we were here and wasn't NOTHING when we were first here.
Why do you think we're called "Native American Indians?" That's a big clue right there. Denying the truth doesn't make it false.
Hello to my brothers and sisters...
airtom, thunder4066 and any others who I may have missed.
To everyone else who isn't racist.. Peace~
**freeeagle, How did you ever become a "Top Contributor" when you are SO racist?
"the Native Americans would still be running around in buffalo skin rather than owning casinos......."
If we were still "running around in buffalo skin" the world would be better off. Without you, maybe we still would be and I would be proud, as I am proud of my Indian Blood.
Just as I suggested to Scarlett, find out WHY we're able to OWN casinos and maybe you wouldn't be so bitter?
**3Dfarms, were you born on a farm? |

That would be the Colonists, for without them, there would be no USA. The "Native Americans" never "owned" nor "claimed" land...... Without the Colonists, the Native Americans would still be running around in buffalo skin rather than owning casinos.......
As for myself, I can claim US citizenship for 4 generations (I think part of my family can actually go back further). I had nothing to do with what went on before me, but am well prepared to make sure nothing untoward happens while I'm here...... (figure it out).

It was the native Americans who immigrated from Asia several hundred thousand years ago. They didn't do much with the land they had but they survived. The reason people want to immigrate here nowadays is because of what the Western immigrants have built on this land. You don't think they would have been able to obtain jobs from the Native Americans do you? It is not who came here first but it is about who had the wherewithal to actually make something of it. |

People of Asian origin
Most likely Mongolian they crossed on the land bridge from Russia into what is now Nova Scotia and moved South roughly 15,000 years ago.
The oldest human settlement in the New World (that would be the Americas) dates back 12,000 years.
So even the Native American Indians weren't native, they migrated.
So you're really not from here unless you are Mongolian.

The United States of America did not exist until 1776 and only included 13 original colonies which were people all of British lineage. So the 1st citizens of the USA were English- Anglo Saxon of heritage. Native Americans were not considered citizens at this point.

What do you want to know here?
The USA is a sovereign nation with laws regarding it's immigration policy just as every other country in the world has laws regarding their immigration policies.
As any other nation would do America polices (just not thoroughly enough) to prevent people from entering the country without the proper documentation.

Well, since the USA began in 1776, it was probably the British since their colonists founded the USA, before that, the USA didn't exist.
Or did you mean the first people who lived on the land we now call the USA? That would have been Adam and Eve. |
