I would like to raise the point that in my opinion, and im sure many others, immigration is a massive problem in the UK! Immigrants come here from all over the world, and DON'T embrace our culture, but form groups in which they can speak their own languages, and use their colour and/or religion to repress white British people in their own country.
I have no problem with immigrants, but i think they should be prepared to intergrate with the country they move into.
Why on earth were mosques built in Britain?! We couldn't go there and expect them to built churches for us. And I would never want it that way because christianity is not the religion in those countries.
In my opinion, it is easy for people from poorer or not as developed countries to benefit from our resources, but just a few hundred years ago Europe was a horrible place to live, and it was the people who had to change things to make it a better place for everyone. We had nowhere like Britain to run to.
These are my opinions, and I would like to make them heard, and see what response I get.

I totally get what your saying. People just come here and make there own little groups, talk ther own languages and act like they own the place. I mean i have no problem with imigrants but they're like spliting the country up. But i dont agree with what ur saying about ppl escaping to Britain, alot of people dont really have any choice. |

Massive and fast immigration is always a source of social unrest. You can't expect to move a few hundred thousand foreigners in, who often bring their families with them, and say "be British now."
I'm not going to argue that it's right or wrong, but you can't expect integration when someone is able to live their lives outside of work and school in communities where they don't have to socialize with people who are not like themselves. Why bother integrating when you can find a mate in your own community who'll please your parents or if you can simply go back "home" and bring one back?
It reminds me of a Vietmanese friend I had. He said he would have liked to have dated several nonAsian girls, but his parents would not approve and there were already many available in his own community. Just seems silly to me and I felt bad for my friend.
Also, Britain is a bit overpopulated as it is, I'm not sure how much more of your natural green spaces you're willing to pave over. |
