I don't have any respect or appreciation for any one that circumvents this nations immigration laws.

Awesome?? Rocks??? Since when is an illegal act considered awesome? Immigration is a act of self deliverance to a new life that promises hope for those who have little or no hope. Sneaking into a country to escape from a life of desperation is only to put oneself into another life of fear, fear of being caught, hiding in shacks, caves, hovels never knowing if your next day will find you incarcerated and on the way back to where you initially left. Yes, illegal immigration may be the only chance many have to choose and take the chance of being caught. It is unfortunate that our country has yet to formulate a solution for the hordes of human beings that want to enter this country to better their lives and the lives of those they have left behind. Many come here to take what they can from our economy then return to their country, never really contributing anything to this country's economy in turn...many on the other hand want to be a part of this country's democratic system and contribute what they can but red tape hinders their efforts and so they live in the shadows out of sight of immigration officials. It will be a tough situation for the U.S. to find an equitabe solution but it can be done. Don't forget the hundreds of immigrants who have died in the back of trucks and vans victims of unscrupulous men living off the desperation of humans wanting a better life. This is not "awesome" and I don't think these men, women and children would think their attempt for a better life "rocks"!

Every Government statistic, both here in the UK and in the US, show that illegal immigration accounts for a tiny proportion of people entering the country, and that immigrants, whilst they are in the country, contribute more to the economy and take less resources out than an equivalent native born person. The average immigrant is educated and have valuable skills that they can contribute if given a chance. The same Government statistics show that if you were to suddenly stop all illegal immigration, and removed all the illegal workers that were currently in the country, certain areas of industry would collapse completely, most noticably the service and agricultural industries, with severe economic consequences as a result. Let's face it, in places like London and New York, it is only because of illegal immigrants that a lot of restaurants, hotels etc can function at all. Fruit and vegetable prices would be a lot higher immigrant laborers were not available to pick those crops.

Stop buying in to all that tabloid, right-wing hysteria. Immigration is good for our respective countries.
