I agree with you, there is a definate anti Mexican sentiment here. Just look at some of the previous answers before mine. Now we are up to 17 million illegals and othe nice tidbits like they are criminals since they cant differenciate legal with illegal. Hell in their eyes even the ones that are American Citizens are traitors if they don't agree with them.
My proof, look at every single question where they specifically say LATINO Illegal aliens and there is always some bigot that brings up Mexicans. They just assume thats the only type of Latino that crosses the border illegally.
And yes I am generalizing and putting people into one catagory since that is what people are doing with Mexicans. Only Mexicans speak spanish and cross the border illegally, no other country exists south of them. |

Though I occasionally see an anti-Mexican post, by and large the posts seem to fall into two groups:
The anti-illegal group that emphasizes the legality or illegality of entry.
The pro-amnesty group that characterizes all of the above as racist and completely ignores the question of legality.
BTW, your post includes more racist statements than most here. |

You sound like one of these people who, when someone disagrees with what you believe, automatically calls them racist and bigots. Rather shallow, don't you think? Just because someone has a different opinion, that doesn't make them hate mongers. I believe most Americans welcome immigrants from whatever nation they come from. But when a group floods into our country illegally, that gets many people upset. There are proper ways to do things. You are welcome here, just do it legally! I don't think that's too much to ask. |

Who are you to talk when you are racist against blacks or asians from what you wrote, "would take a Mexican neighbor any day over a black or asian", if you think it is so bad in here go back to your closet and hide from what is going on in the U.S. I don't dislike anyone unless they are breaking the law and affecting my ability to raise my family and that is what is happening when jobs are given to illegals to send the money to Mexico and kill our economy.
To miguel and a couple of others, I live with my grandson everyday who is 1/2 Mexican so I do see one everyday on the street. I don't care where you are from or what your race is, if you live in the United States then do so the legal way and pay your taxes just like the rest of us. |

Maybe because we have millions of them coming here now.
Maybe it's because food, instructions, clothing, signs, and
everything has to also be in Spanish now as if that was our
language here in America. Now, they'll be hiring people who
speak Spanish to work in hospitals, factories and every
workplace. We, in America, think they should be learning to
speak our language, which is English, if they plan to live and work here. We're tired of having to give them our tax money and
social security, medicare, and other monies that they have not paid in to. It's the unfairness of it all that outrages Americans
and people that write into "Answers". |

people are angry over them as over 17 million are here illegally and don't pay taxes and take jobs as being illegal, they can't report pay as employers would get fined and closed down. the employers are just as bad as the use them for slaves telling them what to do or get deported and the employers, mostly farmers get richer. |

I don't think it's as bad as you make out out to be. It is most definitely easier to be racist and slam diversity when you are online and anonymous, though. Most of those people would not dare say such things in person. |

Maybe if the Congress would get with the program and close the border , so we didn't have thousands and thousands of illegals coming into this country every day , then people might not be so upset about the Mexicans |

For someone who just started you seem to be very subjective on what you are reading on the posts. Most are just saying that illegal aliens must be stopped and no amnesty should be granted. How you came to a conclusion that it is against one race is beyond me. |

I think it's because they feel threatened by Mexicans. Many people tend to make fun of others or dehumanize in order to make themselves feel better. The immigration issue has made many people angry, especially at Mexicans (as if this was the only group that was immigrating to the US). They have this idea that Mexicans come to the US to live off the goverment, which is not true. THey come here to work. Yeah, so they come illegaly, and have been here for years, but that gives no one a right to mistreat them. Also, they don't seem to realize that not all Mexicans are illegal. A VERY large number of us are Mexican-Americans, meaning we're as AMERICAN as those of you with blue eyes and blonde hair. Some of these Mexican-American families have been here since way before the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe. So those of you that just love to belittle Mexicans or just any group in general, lets work on shedding that ignorance. We should learn about other cultures and appreciate the people that surround us. |

You noticed something: Americans are sick and tired of paying for ILLEGAL Mexicans. They are not Americans, they don't WANT to be Americans, they only work here, and send the money back home to Mexico.
Our taxes go to pay for their kids to go to OUR schools, and get treated in OUR hospitals. For WHAT? so we can have cheap fruit?
American's are sick of losing their jobs to the illegals keeping the wages down in this country...

I totally agree with you! My husband is Mexican and I came here to try and relate and talk with people who had similar lifestyles and all I found is one big hate group. |

you know youre right. ive been looking at this section for a week and all I see is country rednecks say "filthy mexicans" and "those dam mexicans raising the crime rate and taking my job". its hilarious how all the people commenting deny their hatred toward mexicans. Thank you for your observation, I'm a Mexican living legally here and I feel the same way, they don't say illegal people they say Mexican illegals, and if you ask them they get all offended and tell you they are against all illegals and blahh blah blah, but that's a lie. |

Greetings and welcome to yahoo A!.....When I came here back in June, I too, was shocked and sadden at so much hate towards one group of people, and even more so, being Hispanic. When you called it racism, you get accused of being being a racist yourself! I understand the need to secure our borders, but making racial slurs and securing borders two very different subjects. Somehow racism is OK, if it means securing the borders....I think it is just an excuse to show hate towards this minority....Thanks for the post... |
