I am anti-illegal, but I just reported another person for calling Latinos "monkeys." People are angry at our government for always lying to us and never doing what they promise to do. this is supposed to be a democracy, but it is largely run by the rich and the common people are fooled again and again, so they are angry and they blame immigrants who they don't even know.

It is not the immigrants who are causing the situation they don't like; it is their own government that won't listen to them.

No one has a problem with people who come here legally,assimilate into our blended culture, pay taxes and become positive members of society, including immigrants from Mexico.
the problem is there are too many people sneaking across, they are overburdening our social services, they are decimating our school, we have public schools here. Out tax dolllars pays for our children's education, and it's letting them down because the teacher has to spend all their time explaining things to children who refuse to learn english, their parent refuse to learn english. and they show up at our hospitals with no money or insurance and drive up our health care costs.

My ancestors were LEGAL immigrants. I don't understand why these dolts can't get that straight.

It's not that I have hate for Mexicans or anybody else for that matter, its that they are coming to America illegally. and that is not fair. cuz they are coming here and taking all our jobs without being a us citizen. if you want to go through and become a citizen and then work, more power to you. just please don't do it illegally.

My best friend in high-school was a Mexican. I eat at an authentic Mexican restaurant in my town on a regular basis and get along with the Mexicans who work there very well. These are hard working people.

I do not hate Mexicans or Indians or anyone else for that matter. But I will not support people who come here illegally to abuse our system. Unfortunately, the vast majority of illegals in this country are Mexican.

Come here legally. Learn English. Become an AMERICAN - not an Indian-American or Mexican-American - just an American. We will welcome you.

i know, i am American and am sorry for others acting this way. Americans have dad to deal with the trouble of having their population double in the past years. there are less jobs and they blame the illegal immigrants. that is true since they work for cheaper and cops busted a company with only 85 out of the 500 people having valid social security numbers. people come to America for a better life. its hard for people to get into America though because you must take a test, though most Americans get a lot of these questions wrong. i took it once in my history class. so why must they know all this? i have a small clue, but that is a different subject. America is not bad, but we have a president who is a monkey and many things are unfair. i would suggest Canada or an English speaking place in Europe. Hawaii would be a good place in America since there is less racism because of the Multi-ethnicity's. i would HIGHLY suggest canada or europe though. less deaths, clean cities, and better schools.

some of us Americns have legit reasons to not like Mexicans. It is because of culteral differences. In my case I have known very young girls that have been molested by young mexican boys. I have been robbed by Mexican men and have had my property destroyed by the same. I know that not all are bad but I have had my share of bad. No respect for our laws as in driving without a license or insurance under age drinking. I am here but I can always go back attitudes. Your jails will not hold me. Ill go home get a different name and be back in six months is done often. You see I have reasons not to like some people. I have tried all my life to give the benefit of the doubt but have been proven wrong to many times in this case. All three of my grand kids are 1/2. I love them very much. It is not bad here if you are honest and law abiding wanting to become American lose your culture assimulate into ours that is what America was built upon. Learn our language and customs

In 2005 Lou Dobbs was saying 7 to 10 Million illegal aliens, now he is saying 12 to 20 Million. if we can support & he work hard to stop the Congress from looking at this matter today, he can repeat the same story in 2009 with little changes i.e.- 20 to 30 Million (or 30 -40 )

By that time they can bring all their distant cousins and their families; most probably Congress will come up with a real AMNESTY plan similar to 1986 instead of this penalties and long waiting period and complex probation system and all.

All the illegal aliens need to thank the conservatives for that ( because many of us do not really know the term 'Conservatism' in its real meaning ).

I don't hate Mexicans, I don't hate immigrants, hell, I don't even hate illegal immigrants.

What I hate is our government allowing these people to break the law, because that is what "illegal immigration" means, and use our resources without giving anything back. I hate the fact that some of our American-born citizens have to suffer without proper health care or housing, or even food, while people can break the law to get here, and get all of that for nothing. I hate that I've been working full time since I was 15 years old just to take care of myself and try to make something of my life, only to have someone else, who hasn't paid in to the social security administration, recieve social security, which is now likely to be gone by the time I need it. I hate that if I visit another country I have to learn their language to get by, while I'm spending my tourist dollars, and then people can come live here illegally and we cater to them by adding their language to all of our products. I hate that people I know and care about can't seem to find jobs to support their family because illegal immigrants are taking them and not even paying taxes for it. And no, they don't just take the jobs we don't want. A job is a job, no matter how dirty or hard it is, when you need to feed your family.

So, I do not hate the people, I hate what is happening to the rest of us because of them.

I would also agree with the fella above who mentioned the fear of this land being taken back by the "brown" people. My Grandmother is fullblood native and i would have to agree that my people prob didnt consider them legal. There is a difference though "the people" didnt ever even consider "owning land" and actually were quite friendly and open and helpful to the white immigrants when they came. The wagon train massacres and such mostly happened AFTER the whites had proven their unfriendly attitude.
