Why are 'legal' children of undocumented workers seen as less than american children?

I do not believe in the 'anchor baby' philosophy and am working hard to have that law recognized on the basis for which it was written.

Your parents, inspite of all the good you may feel for them (and rightly so as they are your parents) are still

Illegals.

Lawbreakers.

If they haven't fixed that situation they are libel for deportation without sympathy. If you wish to go with them...I'm sure your parents legal country would recognize you as a citizen. If it is mexico, then you already have dual citizenship...according to the laws of mexico.

We have the right to label people who break our laws.

I don't consider myself a racist- I consider myself a patriot who loves this country and wants it to remain strong. I do not want the USA to continue being profitable for Mexico (Mexico exports its jobless people to work here, and the UNTAXED $20 billion that they send home each year is Mexico's second largest source of foreign exchange after oil exports.)

Furthermore: Did your parents (and do the illegal alien parents of "citizens") pay their fair share of all the city and state and federal taxes that were needed to build, maintain and fund the school you went to? Did your parents file a state and federal tax return every year? Think about it: Every year, did your parents file state and federal tax returns like the rest of the hard working citizens of this country????
Does it make me racist to expect people to "take what they want but PAY for it"? What makes you think you "deserve" anything? What have you earned? What have you contributed?

You put great country in quotes, meaning you don't think so. If the lable, as you put it, didn't apply to you, you wouldn't take offense. Feeling guilty? Take part in any rallys lately? Raise a Mexican flag or attack a blond?

Who pissed in your Cheerio's this morning??? Times change and now there ARE laws regulating immigration to this country. People in England are getting sick of all their immigrants too, you just don't here about it on the news over here. Can you really blame the citizens of a nation who are sick and tired of illegal immigrants sneaking in here and having anchor babies so it's harder to deport them? Since you were born here, you ARE a citizen. Congrats! And you're getting an education! What do you really have to complain about? If you're so heated about people being against ILLEGAL immigration, and if people are discriminating against you for being a U.S. Citizen born of illegal immigrants, then blame your own parents for putting you in that position. They are the ones who are here illegally. And you don't say why they aren't applicable to become citizens. Are they criminals? Stop complaining about it and be glad you don't have to go through the immigration process to become a naturalized citizen. It's a long, drawn-out process. I used to work in an immigration office.

I don't know your situation specifically, but a lot of illegal immigrants have their babies in the US specifically because they think it will allow all of them to stay here. Yes, the child is a legal citizen, but some people may resent the child for being born here to illegal parents who are just trying to get over.

In the past, there were not laws about immigration because the country was still young and developing. I like to think if our founding fathers saw the situation the US is in now, then they would recognize the need for immigration laws. Allowing anyone who wants to come to the US to come here without any restrictions would result in chaos.

Also, I'm not talking about your family specifically, or every illegal immigrant, but saying their only crime is to want to work is ridiculous. There are many many crimes committed by illegal immigrants.

You do understand, that, even though you are legal, it is other american citizens who had to pay for your education, your housing, the medical attention to you and your parents, for yor birth even? They had to pay for their own children, and for you, while your parents were getting a free ride (for which you "thank them").
Do you understand this? Because if you do, that it should not be too much trouble for you to realize why some people are upset about it

The law gives me the right to label you. Your parents broke our laws. (1986 Immigration Act for one) Tell me, why shouldn't a Country have the right to limit those they want in? Its not that YOU are seen as less than as a average citizen.....its just resentment for the fact that you never would have happened if your parents didnt break the law blantantly......and its anchor babies like you that allow illegals to recieve public assistance thru using your name as an american citizen. Just because you're a legal child of illegals doesn't mean anything to me...unless they had you for the sole purpose of avoiding deportation (and I honestly cannot wait for the day that they all get deported) it would make you an "anchor baby."

Just keep working hard and live out your American dream. Get over it and stop calling people racists. That is the most hackneyed, overused term these days. "Racism!" Oh, no! People are afraid of change, and the fact is that this country is changing at a fast rate, partially because of the hordes of illegal immigrants entering and remaining in this country every day. When the status quo is changed and/or threatened, people react. It is human nature not to want to change. So just live your life and do your best and stop selling out by yelling "racism" every chance you get. Look at the bigger picture and think before you speak. when you look at all the things that are available to you as an "anchor child" as opposed to the things that are not available to the people who are citizens i think you can utilize and don't see where you have allot of room to complain, people on an average may not see you but the government here certainly does count you , think of children your age in the country your parents came from , who is really better off? all we ask is equally respect if we went somewhere else and demanded what they have we would be shot , dead on the spot , I have to go pay some taxes "Welcome you to America"(sarcasm) it is indeed a GREAT COUNTRY, and its your country too , you should take alittle pride in it

I know you needed to vent and I agree with a lot of the stuff you said. I have lived in Texas my entire life and shudder at the thought of not having the immigrant influence in the great state of Texas. I see so many great things that immigrants bring to our country that it far out weighs the few bad apples in the bunch. And I do recognize that we allowed this and if we want to get mad at anybody or blame anybody it should ourselves the American citizen because we let it happen.

Also you have to understand the typical White American has to have somebody he can look down on ( ask the blacks ) and now illegal immigrants fill the void
