To say that I'm jealous of you would imply that you have something that I want, but can't have. That isn't the case at all. I have something YOU want, and can't have. So you try to TAKE it. My defense of what I have is not jealousy. It's not even in the same dictionary as jealousy. Maybe you should learn the language before you try to use big words you don't understand. Now, if you want to be an American, and have a better life, good for you. Try starting by NOT breaking our laws. And then try being an AMERICAN. Not a MEXICAN in America. Assimilate yourself. Become one of us. Bring us your heritage, but leave Mexico in Mexico. That goes for your language, and your flag. But trust me, I'm NOT jealous of you. I'm simply ANNOYED by you.

You must be joking. Why do you think 11 million Mexicans have fled Mexico in the first place? Ya Mexicans changed the roof on the house next door to me the man they did business with was an American, he charged $4500.00 - $1600.00 material - $2100.00 to the American $800.00 labor to 7 Mexicans to remove, install and haul a way the trash in 12 hours so that's averages out to be about $9.52 per hour per Mexican and all reg. time, so who was the winner, because not all the Mexicans made $9.52 because the Mexican boss made at lest $300.00.

The American are not jealous of the Mexicans. We are upset that so many of you are doing things ILLEGALLY. You say you respect our country and you wish to seek the American Dream, yet you hire coyotes to come across the border?

The media shows only the poor Mexicans, not the ones who worked hard and got educated. My husband is a Mexican, put himself through school, and his family came over to Texas legally.

If you want a better life, get educated. Learn English and learn how to speak better Spanish. Don't think that just because you are here, you are entitled to the same benefits as those who came here the right way.

I add my voice to those saying we are not jealous of Mexicans. Being Mexican means you are a citizen of Mexico, correct? If you are living in the United States, you would be an American. Paying taxes on groceries is a pittance compared to what you should be paying in federal payroll taxes, in FICA, in your state taxes. If you want to be an American, have you applied for citizenship?

And you say "We are only taking back what the Americans stole ...". Is the Mexican government petitioning the UN for restitution for territory illegally overran? I don't think so! Your view might single you out as being a radical, intent on trying to take over US territory.

You also say "We are hard working people that work hard for our lifes and we deserve better lifes". I can respect that. Why have you not respected our country by coming in legally. After all, other than native Americans, we are a country of immigrants, ones who came for freedom and a better life, but at the cost of becoming a citizen and learning the language.

Illegals draw welfare by stealing people's social security numbers and identities. That means there are a lot of people being directly hurt by these people as well. Innocent people are having their credit ratings ruined, having IRS problems, and social security problems. If someone who has had their social security number stolen gets married, if either spouse dies or become disabled then they can be denied their benefits.

My family moved to the US before WWII. Those of my family that didn't make it over got killed by the death camps. Our family assimilated to the American culture. We didn't expect the Americans to change to suit us. The illegal immigrants from Mexico are not civilized like that.

They not only changed the National Anthem to Spanish, they changed the words. They already burn our flag and hang our flag upside down. They waved the Mexican flag during a lot of their protests. Some schools have stopped hanging the American flag and forbidden students from wearing clothes with any part of the American flag on their clothing all to keep from offending the Mexicans. It's nothing short of an attack of our country, not only by the illegal aliens, but those who seek to appease them.

I am tired of the stereotype that Americans wouldn't do the work that illegals do. Illegals do all kinds of jobs for less than minimum wage which drives the wages down for U.S. citizens. Construction jobs are an example. There are lots of illegals doing construction jobs that Americans used to do because the companies can keep more of the profits if they pay less for the workers. All that does is make companies wealthier and Americans poorer. Illegals are stealing jobs that Americans have done for years.

If you go to a country and refuse to assimilate, continuing to speak your own language then you are really not an immigrant -- you're a colonist ... and that's what the Mexicans are doing, they're colonizing the American Southwest as part of their "reconquista" Read about mecha in the link I provided and you'll see what the Mexicans real agenda is.
