Why are Americans doing this?

Why are so many Americans looking to work, and live in Europe, plus seeking EU citizenship?
Isn’t it a bit hypocritical of them since they always saying that Europe is all socialist and communist etc. Tell others how great the USA and it’s so called freedom but run down Europe. I have never read so many questions on this about moving to Europe.
I.E. How I get a British work visa, British citizenship. Can I get free health care in France, my grandparent left Italy 50 years ago now can I get citizenship? If I get EU citizenship will I get free health care? I know the USA in a recession and so are other countries. But my point is how hypercritical some Americans are. They tell others in the USA speak English and live the American way. But on this they which country can I live in Europe that I don't have to learn a language that they all speak English just for me.

I hear you! A lot of Americans are wanting to move here to Canada too!! They never have anything good to say about Canada or Canadians either. But now that their country is going to $hit, we all of a sudden don't look so bad. It's annoying,

The U.S. is a country of over 300 million people, can you not stop to think that there is some degree of diversity of thought on the matter? Some people don't like Europe and some like it and want to move there. Big deal. Your question implies that the people who are thinking of moving there are also the same ones who don't like it. That assumption makes no sense.

This is a joke right? America accepts more legal immigrants than all the Europeans countries combined. In fact America accepts more legal immigrants than all the rest of the countries on earth combined. Europe is very hard to legally immigrate too. And it's a joke compared to America. Stick those facts in your pipe and smoke them for a while.

I see a lot more questions about the UK, Canada, and Australia than I do about Europe.

I'm guessing the ones who want to move there aren't the ones complaining about your socialism - can you prove this?

Welcome to the wonderful world the U.S. We think that the whole world has to adapt to us, and never do we take the time to learn about another countries culture, or language, we just worry about how they can benefit us. I'm terribly sorry.

I never hear anyone here bad mouthing Europe. We have been betrayed by out government and a lot of people just see many benefits to getting the heck out of our country... and since Europe is the closest to America culture wise the change is easier. I agree about the English though. My city has the fastest growing Hispanic population in the country and people say that all of the time. I fight them about it as I am trying very hard to learn German, I realize the need for it when I go to learn Danish so that I can get a Masters in Viking and Old Norse, or Scandinavian History. I really do hate America!
