It is a hybrid nation comprising off-spring of people mostly from Europe who were trading human beings in the most cruel way from Africa. By Industrial Revolution they have developed into a rich country with out values. Human Rights and its advocacy is a mere hypocrisy which is exposed in its conduct in Iraq, Vietnam and else where in the world.

They now suffer from insecurity that they would be outnumbered by new settlers. They have to develop genuine human values to stand up to the New challenges.

I guess you haven't been to Germany lately and talked to them about the Turkish illegals. I guess you haven't been to France recently and talked to them about the Algerian illegals. I guess you haven't been to England lately and talked to them about the Pakistani illegals.

My guess is that in your travels did touristy things and didn't talk to many of the real people.

I hope you realize that not ALL Americans are the way you are describing. From what I've seen, every country and every nationality have people who DO fit that description, but you can't really generalize like that. Not everybody fits into that mold. Could it be that since you were "looking" for racist people, you ignored the ones who aren't? I guess that would make YOU a bit of a racist, too, huh?

I hope you're not judging Americans from the idiots that sit on YA and spew vicious rants about immigrants here. The fact is that a far larger percentage of Americans have internet service than any other country, so there is a lot of trash out there clacking away at their keyboards. I have also lived in a few different countries, as a foreigner, and I think that in general, Americans are more accepting and welcoming of immigrants than in many countries. We have a lot of faults, LOTS of them, but I don't think that this is one of them.

Americans are good at what they do.
true we all have the same needs, but do we really need a tv? nah, we just need food, water and shelter. These can be found in many places of the world. It comes down to money. protecting your wallet is a huge motivation everywhere.

We aren't. Not wanting to pay to educate poor foreigners illegally here when we don't have enough education funds to educate our own children properly is not 'racism'. It is resentment of those who feel we should pay their way even though they are here in violation of our laws, which is a different thing.

I am an "American", as are people from Canada and Mexico, not to mention South and Central America. I am not racist, yet I do realize it is a serious problem here in the US. Still, you make an amazing generalisation in your question by labeling all of us as racists.

In your travels you have obviously missed nations such as Turkey, England, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. Actually that is quite a list to have missed for one who has travelled to many parts of the world. Every nation mentioned in that list has had major issues with racism and especially racism aimed at immigrants. Perhaps you are only referring to acts against a particular race. If so, then that my friend is also a form of racism.

Oh, and Fozzie...other countries do indeed ahve our problems. Western Europe and England are struggling with immigration and illegal entry from most of Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia. Turkey is struggling with many issues with those of Kurdish descent. In fact we, in many ways, have it much easier. Thus far we have avoided the violence many of these countries have seen.

Well in our defense (i am not a racist.) We do have a lot of different people with different backrounds. More unique than any other country in the world.

I don't know for sure, why many Americans feel this way. I know in Italy the Africans are illegals (they swim from Tunisia to Sicily) and Italians do not give them half as much abuse as they would receive here. I think it has to do with simple closed minded people. Often Conservatives.

aside from all the debate going on about aliens and such, i don't think the US is worse than many european countries who are openly rascist against their immigrant populations, and also those countries who elect people from neo-nazi parties, on a rascist platform.
