Most Germans I know would pretty much rather drop dead than claim to be proud of their nation... it's kind of a taboo these last, oh, 70 years or so...
as for the rest, well, most people are patriotic - US Americans no exception. |

Because they love their country. I am proud of being American, but let me say that, even just mention that I am American, and I guarantee you I will get a lot of people putting me down instantly. Everybody is allowed to be proud of their country except us.
