Maybe if people stopped being so concerned about what others think of them versus doing the right thing we wouldn't have this problem.

Every time they hear about Americans wanting them to go through legal channels to come into the country, they worry that their time here MIGHT be limited, and resort to making Americans feel guilty so that maybe they will stop making a fuss about illegal immigration, and the illegals can stay.

I'll tell you what is even more racist: The Latin American Grammys. I haven't seen the Anglo American Grammys, have you? If the white, European Americans started their own awards ceremony, it would be taken off the air due to racism.

I'll tell you what is even more racist than that....La Raza. Yes, it is an organization for Latinos, and it means "The Race". Last time I saw an group with that name, it was run by Nazis.

I don't get it either. ILLEGAL is illegal. That means breaking the law and if caught you pay for it. If I do something illegal and I get caught I should pay for the crime. It is illegal to cross the boarder without permission, therefore you are a criminal and be treated as such. Not be entitled to benefits and rights. Illegal go home and if you want to live the American Dream do it legally and stop waving your flag!!!!!

Because calling someone a racist effectively shuts down all rational, logical argument-- which is what the name-caller wants to do. As soon as you play the race card, people are so concerned about being politically correct that they stop talking. And it works! You can't have a serious discussion with someone who gets hysterical-- the "racist" thing is a weapon to shut people up..... because they can't argue or dismiss the facts, the only thing they can do is to shut you up.

Actually, I have nothing against the illegals themselves. I am against the employers who use these people for their own gain.

Our system needs to be re-worked so people can come in as guest workers and be protected by law. It also needs to ensure that those who come in illegally will have to go home and apply either as a guest worker or as a potential US citizen.

BUT WE NEED TO PUNISH EMPLOYERS WHO USE ILLEGALS!!!! Until this is done, we will continue to have an illegal problem.

Because race clearly has something to do with it. European immigrants are allowed to come here within a few days legally . Latin people it takes years for them to come here legally . However there are fewer Europeans that immigrate here than Latin people. Its easy to point out differences among Spanish speaking Latin people in areas where English speaking African and Caucasian people live .
