I don't understand the propaganda against illegals either. It seems as if everyone thinks they are all theives, drug dealers, murderers, and rapists. Its sad that they have such a bad rep considering I know alot of illegals and they are really nice people. Not all of them are stealing jobs and lowering wages. Hell most of the ones I have have taken classes to get better at the jobs they do have, know how to speak very good english (some of my illegal friends don't even know spanish or have forgotten alot of it), and will not lower themselves down to taking welfare. Hell, I know more americans on welfare then illegals. And the stereotype of them breeding like "rabbits" is utterly ridiculous. None, and I mean none of the illegals I know have more then 3 kids. How is that breeding like rabbits?

a) Not long ago Yahoo! had message boards to comment the news. In those places, the bottom of the barrel of the whole Internet congregated. The Yahoo! News Message Boards became famous as a haven for trolls.

b) Such trolls were the worst among the worst, celebrating when children died, debating ways to exterminate other races, attacking women, making merry over tragic accidents, etc.

c) On Dec. 19, 2006 the boards were finally closed after many people threatened a class action lawsuit against Yahoo! over slander, defamation of character and making available a forum so vile to children (there were no safeties).

d) Since then, the mentally ill trolls which infected those boards have moved on to other places, notably Slashdot. Many others have stayed in Yahoo! and have moved on to Yahoo Answers, where they have found a haven in the Immigration and Society and Culture sections.

e) These trolls are IRRELEVANT and represent no one but themselves. Even if they appear as many, in fact it's about 50 people organized in "crews" (Dana Crew, Edna Brambick Crew, Cindy Bin Crew, etc.) who have over a dozen of identities each, thus they appear to be many more people because they are posting 24/7 (as a rule, none of them is employed).

f) A characteristic of these trolls is to assume female names even though they are overwhelmingly male. They do so in order to create the illusion that there are women who share their views. Also, many seem to have gender-related fantasies, and a couple are known to be transgendered.

There are 2 known racists on this forum, which I'm sure you had the "pleasure" of knowing, and others on this site are right behind them. If they only knew that the law to consider people who cross illegally criminals was shot down last year, they'd do a little more research before claiming they know what the heck they're talking about.

Almost every decade the American people need to find a new scapegoat. They fail to realize or conveniently ignore that illegal entry into the United States is NOT a crime but a "misdemeanor" but yet a deportable offense if caught. Just this week in my city some 23 year old American man was charged with murdering his girlfriends 23 month old child and another American man was supposed to be reporting for his sentencing for crimes against young females and he is yet to be found. This is just this week alone, Americans and not illegals did those crimes! There is no guessing who is bound to commit a crime by where they came from or by the color of their skin. Bigotry and racism is encouraged by some of the false reports being shown in forums and talked about on television and some radio programs. No matter what, everyone is entitled to basic human rights.

Many Americans view illegal aliens as criminal invaders bent on La Reconquista, naturally, they think of the illegals as the enemy. I mean if you are being invaded, aren't the invaders the enemy? We are angry that our govt does nothing to stop the invasion, and that are leaders are trying to pass an amnesty bill that betrays the American people, so that anger gets expressed towards the illegals.

We know that most of the illegals are good people, but they should go back to their country and apply for citizenship there. Also, when the illegals and their supporters waved Mexican and Guatemalan flags in the first demonstration last year, it really annoyed loyal Americans, and when they put a Mexican flag on a flagpole above an upside down American flag that got many Americans blood boiling!

Illegal aliens are not seen as worse individuals than pedophiles or murderers (unless, of course, they are also pedophiles or murderers.

As a whole, though, they may be seen as a bigger problem, because there are just so many of them. If there were 12 million murders committed last year, murderers would be seen as a much bigger problem.

I don't think that they are even in the same category as a pedophile. Those people need to just be set free in a general population situation while in prison.

I think illegal immigrants are only individually potentially worse than pedophiles and murderers (for example, if they are, in fact, pedophiles and murderers.)

My issue isn't the individuals, but the volume, poverty, and burden on our services, and frankly, I would be ok with fixing it going FORWARD. BUT I would truly want it fixed going forward, and the bill in congress would only make it WORSE.

Changing the subject, diverting attention, or trying to "downgrade" the severity of their crimes does NOT make them any more legal or acceptable to citizens of this country.

Too many ARE pedophiles and murders and rapists and drug dealers and gang members.etc. etc. Excuse me if it does my heart good when justice is served. I don't want innocent people hurt but I'm not going to cry tears when one gets caught just because they're illegal. They've gotten a sliver of the punishment they deserve from a host of crimes they have committed.

As a human being and a citizen of this country I have basic rights as well. Bout time they start paying attention to them for a change.

You are way off base! We aren't happy about anyone getting shot, etc... I am very happy when the illegal alien criminals (that are breaking our laws) get jailed or deported. That's the law!

The illegal aliens may not be all murdering people but they are murdering our economy! Their gangs are murdering people (majority of the gang members in prison are illegals). They have a higher rate of drunk drivers that other groups that kill people.

At least you admit that they have committed crimes but "basic human rights" does not mean free health care and education. They can get the basic human rights in their home country! Why should the American taxpayer have to pay for it. They aren't American citizens and they are NOT our responsibility!

I read most of the arguments on here are for or about Mexican illegal aliens .

Mexico's immigration policy is about 10 times stricter than the U.S.. They tolerate NO illegal aliens in their country. It sounds hypocritical for anyone from that country to criticize OURS!!!!

95% of outstanding warrants in LA county are for ILLEGAL ALIENS

25% of the people incarcarated in CA are ILLEGAL ALIENS

Less than 2% of ILLEGAL ALIENS pick our crops, but over 26% of ILLEGAL ALIENS draw WELFARE

29% of the inmates in FEDERAL prison are - yep, you guessed it - ILLEGAL ALIENS

Even if they were to over stay their permission, one would have to admit the difference between a thousand, ten thousand or a hundred thousand Latin Americans.

We are not dealing with that now...we are dealing with an estimate of 12 million and some say more than 20 million that are now with-in our borders.

Sievocal, one of hardest things in this debate is....Hispanics that have migrated here under America's immigration laws. And, with-out a doubt...all do not agree with what is going on now. I know. My neighbors are Hispanic and some of finest people on this earth. In fact, going back to the 70's in Florida my neighbors were Hispanic and beautiful people.

Today it's not the same. A big % of Mexicans here don't want to assimilate into the American Culture. Words from their own mouths. We are facing something in America that's never been seen before.

Will it be over-come. I doubt it. Just hate that my grand children will have to face it. Can only wonder what America will look like in 50 years if this Amnesty bill is signed by President Bush. I don't think the out look is good.

Because not everyone Is affected by pedophiles and murderers during their day to day life, but a LOT of people are affected by illegal immigrants and their behavior.

Their refusal to assimilate and their arrogant demands that we accommodate them on their terms and let them turn the USA into a cesspool like Mexico.

Their refusal to live according to American culture and abide by the rules and norms of a civilized society.

You ask when all this resentment started? And why people are getting angry at them? More specifically why I resent them...

My answer is that the resentment started when :

The crime rate when up by your cherished gangs.

Your unlicensed, uninsured drivers started killing our citizens

You ruined our neighborhoods by moving in, parking your old skeletons of cars, throwing garbage and empty beer cans all over the sidewalks where our children use to play.

When you ruined our quiet enjoyment of our homes, by playing your ranchero music so loud that the whole block can hear it. And when asked to turn it down you swore at my wife.

It started when you refuse to enter our country here legally, and cause me, my family to work extra hours to pay our taxes to support you.

It started when we saw that you were receiving free medical care, when we are not able to get it because we cannot earn enough money to pay for it.

It started when we see that you stand in line in front of us at Safeway, purchase food with federal funds that I paid for, but I cannot afford all the food you are getting for free.

It started when you stand outside the Home Depot, and work for 8 dollars an hour, while my neighbor who is a contractor, has to pay for insurance, employee taxes, social security, health plans, city permits, and you just take the cash and cut his business out of the picture.

It started when my child get substandard education because the schools allocate money because you are too lazy to learn the language that is in this country.

It started when I have to press one, to speak to someone that I cannot understand.

It started when you got drunk, and ran over a family and killed them, when you were without a license, insurance and then you ran back to your country.

It started when my children started getting exposed to diseases that were no longer active in the US, but came back with you.
