Lets do the math. There are 194 countries in the whole world. There are 20 million illegal aliens in the US.
Of those 20 million, 54% are from one country and one country alone--Mexico. They could be from 192 OTHER countries........but over half are from Mexico.
You are correct--there are lots from Honduras and Guatamala as well. 70% of illegal aliens in the US are Latino and come from south of the US border.
So if people stereotype based on the numbers.....well face it: they have a greater chance or being right than being wrong.

Three out of four illegals are Mexican. If you are in California, Texas or Arizona then 90% of those illegals are Mexican.

probably because most illegals are from Mexico.
There are illegals from Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, everywhere but Mexicans had much easier access and have come in greater numbers. Its easier to see a large group of people and stigmatize them.
Other illegals blend into society better. Mexicans wave flags and are proud of their country so there you go.
In New York I am sure people can tell who the Puerto Ricans are, who the Dominicans, etc. |

i dont have anything against anyone or any country. Having that said..most illegal aliens are from mexico that is why people think of mexico. All other Latin americans claim only a small fraction of the illegal aliens in the United States. |

What ever, most of the illegals in the U.S. are Mexicans and they put up the biggest stink about rights they don't' deserve so who really cares if we assume some illegal is Mexican, more than likely they will be right. |

Because like someone already said, a majority of illegals here in the United States are Mexican. You want proof, I live in Phoenix, Arizona-that's all the proof I need, if you get a chance stop by and I'll take you to every Wal-Mart, Home Depot and parking lot they hang out in. I don't need to read about it, I live it, 365 days a year. |

I think it's coz there are so many who do cross the Mexican border and SOME ppl just don't know the difference between the cultures or don't care. Kinda like me I'm Asian and I get called Chinese but I'm not. And I don't speak anything but English but ppl assume I speak my ' native ' language. It's stupid ppl but we have to look at the source and not get bent out of shape coz their dumb. |

Mainly because America borders with Mexico. Also, the illegal mexicans are the majority of the illegals on our welfare system and that is one point making Americans angry. They are also the ones abusing our educational system and medical care facilities.
$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.

you are right, its not just Mexicans.... but when the number of illegals = 5.7 out of 10 as Mexicans and 7 out of 10 as hispanics.... gosh, I have to say they are the biggest portion of the illegal problem as well as the fastest growing. Secure the borders and Deport them all asap! |

Because we have a huge number of illegal aliens in this country from Mexico drawing about 300 billion a year in welfare. It should stop, and our own government is rejecting the American People and taking the side of the illegal aliens, and against the law of the land. It is, altogether, VERY ugly business and the Mexican Government has had a serious hand in the processes of putting the poor of Mexico in this country. About 20 million of them too. |

could be because all a person has to do it walk out side your door and there they are.Taking up jobs ( and no not just THE BAD JOBS)using our medical wanting our social security having anker babies not paying taxes . The crime alone is enough to Bother the people that supossed to be here. And yes the crime has gone up . Drug peddling and gangs. Not to mention that they seem to think that our 12 year old daughters need deflowering. And no, it is not their right to break the law and steal their way into this country. This country does not owe every country a free pass. But from mexico they are coming over in droves. If it keeps on like this there won't be any mexicans in mexico before long. |
