I don't know anyone who is "mean" to immigrants. I know MANY immigrants. Some who've made better Americans of themselves that quite a few native born citizens.

Illegal aliens are a COMPLETELY different story. Even in their case, I don't know many people who are "mean" to them. They are criminals and I turn quite a few of them in, but that's in no way "being mean", its called respecting the law and preserving my country.

What's "mean" is beginning life in a new country as a criminal. What's "mean" is breaking our laws and leaching from the hard working citizens of this country. What's "mean" is marching in the streets demanding that citizens adapt to criminal trespassers.

Because many of them ar hear illegal and don't intend to be legal and intend to try and take advantage of the governments benifits and don't pay taxes,drive legal,work illegally and I know many people who resent they work here for cash and send there money western union to mexico not paying any taxes not spending it where they earned it. But not all immigrants illegal.

People are not mean to immigrants, not even illeagal immigrants, unless they know they are illeagal for a fact. Perhaps there is some testiness if they do not speak or understand English well. I know I can get short tempered when I have to try to explain something 4 or 5 times.

You are making a false assumption. People are not mean to immigrants. However, sane people are against illegal immigrants. If someone moved into your house without your permission, used your stuff, ate your food, you would probably say something "mean" to them like, "go home!"

Picture yourself standing in line to your favorite concert. You bought the hard earned $100.00 ticket well in advance. Came at 5:00am to line up for the 8:00pm show to get good seats.

7:30pm gates open, your line slowly inches forward toward the doors. Then you notice some people scrambling toward the fire exit doors going into the theatre. They all look different from you. They speak a different language. They enter without much ado skipping the usual security check.

When you meet them inside the theatre, will you be happy to see them? -----------------NOT!!!!!!

We aren't. We let a million people from other countries immigrate yearly and let millions more in on temporary visas. We are saying nothing against those, because we set those limits. Those limits alone strain our schools and services, but it is not the immigrant's fault, and we understand that part of the deal is that their children get education and support even though their parents may not make enough money to pay enough tax to cover that.

However, those who break our laws and come above those limits are saying their children's education is more important than our own, and their lifestyle is more important than that we have built with laws, including immigration laws, to protect. Poor immigrants are limited in every country in the world that subsidizes education and services to its poor people, because poor people are not capable of paying their family's way in taxes.

Why are all those illegal immigrants so mean to us, and to our children? And why, when by their sheer numbers and poverty they have ruined schools and hospitals, do they think we should say 'that's fine, keep it up?'

What about OUR children, OUR poor, and OUR sick?

HOWEVER, if you are talking about ILLEGAL alien criminals, why should we welcome them? They are breaking our laws, destroying our schools and health care system. They bring diseases with them. They steal jobs that Americans want. They steal identities. They bring extra crime! They DON'T pay taxes. (BTW, these are documented FACTS, no opinions.) THEY DON'T BELONG HERE!

Why should we be supporting the illegals? OUR citizens need the assistance.

Please learn to distinguish between immigrant and illegal immigrant. Immigrants are a part of society and are welcomed because to deny an immigrant is to deny your neighbor. As for illegals, I (and the American people) have no respect whatsoever for people who broke our immigration laws. By doing so, these illegals are saying "I dont care about your laws, I'm just here to get mine." Of course people are going to call anyone who opposes illegal immigration "racist," "xenophobe," or "nativist," but the reality is that illegals come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. With your use of wording, you (and others who lump illegals immigrants and legal immigrants) do a great disservice to those who did things the right way.

Ive never been "mean" to any legal immigrants.
Ive also never been "mean" to any illegal aliens. Its not about trying to hurt someones feelings or anything of that nature.Legal immigrants deserve respect. Illegal aliens are law breakers who do not deserve jobs, amnesty, educational subsidies, driver's licenses, and other benefits at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Illegal aliens first should be encouraged to Go Home voluntarily and then humanely deported as the law requires. Once the public recognizes that jobs and benefits equal encouragement the public will truly press for the flow to cease. Amnesties for illegal aliens have clearly made the problem worse and should be vigorously opposed.
