I especially like all the people who live in $100,000+ homes with white picket fences and then complain that this country doesn't cater to the poor. |

If they are a US citizen either born or naturalized or a US legal resident they have the right to be here. No matter their view point.
That's what being an American is about having differences of opinions. |

'The american point of view'? So the american citizens who support accepting immigrants don't count or something? |

Honey,
I am an American. This country is as much mine as yours. The "American" point of view INCLUDES mine. We are a country based on freedom of speech, and, I thank GOD every day that we have the ability to think for ourselves. If you don't like the premise of our country- each of us having our own thoughts and being able to express them- perhaps you should be the one leaving.... |

Perhaps they are here because it is their home? |

Pro-illegal people for the most part happen to be legal American citizens. And have a right to voice their opinion, just as you and I do. If you need to lash out your frustrations on people, then take it to the level of government that created this mess. USA, Canada, and Mexico governments to be specific, and the signing of NAFTA. Bush wants an expansion on this piece of crap trade agreements. So the Senate, and Congress is where to take this issue, and the fight. Because that is the very place Bush is asking for them to approve it's expansion. If it passes this country is through as a nation. |

what are you on?
Even Bush is for pro-reform, and he's the president.
and why Mexico?
you couldn't be any more ignorant and Un-American.
edit. . . . . .
I'm Pro-Reform and I'm American. Why won't YOU leave since you don't believe in Freedom Of Speech? Every American has the right to have their own point of view or opinion. I think we can all agree that we (Americans) have Freedom Of Speech, since you don't, you can leave. |

The ONLY reason I stay is becasue I enjoy seeing all the havok caused by my efforts in helping illegals get IN, especially the dangerous ones. That and the fact that it is next to impossible to get OUT of the US illegally as opposed to getting IN that way. |

why? are you afraid us Mexicans, the blacks and what little AMERICAN INDIANS are here will take this place over? Afraid your going to lose the land that was stolen from our people?
Would you have a problem if it was a Russian immigrate? |

YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T THINK. I WANT TO SEE IF YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF

Because this is America and the Constitution says we all have "freedom of speech". If you don't like it move to communist China or Afghanistan! |

What kind of question is this? Can't you handle people having different opinions as you? That is not THE AMERICAN point of view, it's SOME AMERICANS point of view! |

This Pro thinks you should hightail it to Iraq and do something for this country you claim to love. You keyboard warriors make me laugh with telling us to get out.I don't need to leave that's what my sons are fighting for is my freedoms and unfortunately yours too.So give my sons a break huh and join up.Or does the motto a few good men preclude you? |

There is no unified "American point of view". Let's look at our largest & greatest American cities--like New York or San Francisco etc. etc. that are very much "Sanctuary cities". We American's don't hold the the same view as you. |

How about the pro-"Don't Screw Up Everything To Fix An Occasional Problem In Some Areas" crowd?
Or the pro-"I Don't Get Hysterical Over Some Grandstanding Politician's Election Year Strategy" crowd?
What's your suggestion there ? (That doesn't involve a lot of travel . That's just not in the budget right now ) =))
ps : eldude , "..a nation of laws..."? That's sooooooo 2000! Try to catch up. The law is what I say it is . (But I can't actually say what it is , out loud. It's a secret) . If you don't believe me, just ask A.G. the AG, or The Great Decider. ;D |

Because the Mexican government comes down hard on illegals. |

Because all they want to do is complain. These are the same people who expect government to provide for their needs. |

I totally understand your frustration! You've internalized your disgust for these illegals and their supporters. It will destroy you and they will have won. Use that energy positively and start bombarding your politicians, join the Minutemen or anything you can to be pro active against this illegal invasion! |
|

Why? Because the illegal alien CRIMINALS and their supporters know what Mexico's government does to those found in violation of a passport/green card or without one whatsoever. Jail... Torture... Execution. Illegal alien CRIMINALS and their supporters can't appreciate that the U.S. already has one of the most liberal immigration policies in the civilized world, and we're not so inhuman as to treat illegal alien CRIMINALS the way Mexico's government does. |

I think icedawg is right. You hear from polls that it pretty much unanimous the position taken yet still, the small, and noisy bunch that disagree are more than willing and able to say whatever they want about people who support legal immigration, including slander.
Whatever, it's usually like that though, I think that the smaller the number the louder they are because they feel they need to be in order to be heard because they know they are outnumbered in their opinions.
It's Ironic, and foolish that Latino groups for Amnesty want, on one hand to have amnesty and on the other, not to refer to illegal immigrants as being from Mexico. Duh?
I think that is a correct statement, that being for criminal behavior is synonymous with anti American. I mean, we are a nation of laws, if you don't like the laws then you don't like the nation. |

I bet 90% of the pro illegal crowd is of Hispanic decent. Do you think if our immigration problem were white Canadians, those same Hispanics would still support illegal immigration?? I don't! |

the pro illegal people are illegals themselves |
