Why are some of you Hispanics such ignorant fools? Becuase there are ignorant fools everywhere. And, if you read YOUR history books, you would know that the United States was not in conflict with Mexico during the Texas War of Independence -- just Texas. Yes, American volunteers helped, but the US army was neutral. Also notice that it was the Mexican army's stupidity which lead to its defeat at San Jacinto -- they failed to post sentries during their afternoon siesta. Brilliant.

Also, the Texas War for Independence and Mexican-American War are separate affairs. In the latter, which was started over the extent of the territory of Texas, the American army marched in. Within two years, the United States occupied most of the major cities in northern Mexico, including Mexico City and Pubela. The Treaty of Guadelupe-Hidalgo brought about the American purchase of a large part of the American Southwest. The money paid has nothing to do with any capture or failed capture of a flag.

Hey dude, who's ignorant. The United States did go to war with Mexico in around 1820. The Mexican soldiers were brave but their leadership was weak. The U.S. army was green but had good commanders. The result was this: Mexico was soundly defeated and ceded a lot of its territory which today is California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas and New Mexico.

In fact though, the USA by fact is the strongest army in the world. It is the Second largest behind china and it is definately the most well-equipped. Venezuala is making empty threats. Half the people there would rather have americans ruling their country than that crackpot Chavez. If we decided to invade Venezuela, we would kill hugo and install a new democracy with new leaders. Then the rich and the poor would be happy. Chavez only won because he influenced the poor who never voted before, a characteristic of such regimes. And, of course, he did nothing to actually help the poor in his country. As for the Mexico story, the US barely sent a fraction of its army to the south. If the Mexicans advanced into other states, the US would have sent a larger army. We did lose to Vietnam but wow, we lost one war in the history of our country. And now, Vietnam has a democracy which is what we wanted in the 1st place.

It's not a matter of opinion which global militaries are the strongest. It is determined through facts. There are many considerations that go into determining how strong a military is. The first things is sheer numbers. The Chinese have everyone beat there. The North Koreans are also strong in numbers (percentage wise based on population).

Technology is the second factor. China is emerging with new technology all the time, with great infrastructure and the ability to manufacture things efficiently. North Korea is still operating on Vietnam era or prior technology, with a poor infrastructure and no means to manufacture.

Going to your comparison of Mexico vs the USA or Canada, I'm sorry to tell you that the USA has Mexico and Canada beat in both numbers and technology (with Canada superior to Mexico in technology and numbers). Mexico could not withstand any type of attack from the United States. I'm hardly saying that Mexico wouldn't be able to cause casualties on the US side, just that they could not hope to prevail in the long run. The entire country of Mexico would be in ruins by airstrikes alone.

As far as Vietnam goes, the US did not lose. The US withdrew it's forces due to political sentiment at home and abroad. In comparing Vietnam to Mexico, the Vietnamese were fighting literally for their only home....they had no place else to go or nothing else to do.

Obviously your sentiments are not shared by your own government or they would have taken Texas and or California back by now.

Our military IS one of the most powerful in the world.

You speak of aircraft? but you don't even know what kind they are...Ya know..if any country should be concerned about Venezuela it should be Mexico...

If you want to believe that the Mexican Army could whoop the US Army, go right ahead. I've never met a Canadian who thinks that the Canadian Army could hold it's own against the US, but I've never met a Canadian who would even want to try. While our countries may not agree on everything, we are nothing like enemies. We are nothing like enemies with Mexico either. Just because you hate all Americans doesn't mean our governments hate each other. (Governments don't hate anyway.)

By the way, I love Mexicans, but I think you are a very poor representation of your country and I think most Mexicans would be ashamed of your stupidity and ignorance.

By the way, 100% Mexicano, when was the last time the Mexican Army proved its might? When was the last time they "came in and fought like a man?" I'm sorry, but I've never heard anyone around the world ever even mention the Mexican army. I don't think most people around the world even realize you have an army. It's certainly not very famous for being ferocious. I don't see any shame in this fact, but I do find it rather funny that you are laughing about the weakness of the US army. It would be like if an American were laughing about the blandness of Mexican food.

If North Korea or Iran ever nuke the US, Mexico will not be spared from the fall out. You'd better move to Argentina, or maybe Antartica. And if you don't think the US has more nukes than Iran and North Korea put together, if you actually think they could hold out against a full on response from the US, you are more ignorant than I gave you credit for.

The US lost Vietnam as a result of weak politics, the military was forced to fight a political war. Vietnam was supplied by both Communist China and the Soviet Union, so their economic status is hard to quantify.

Even in the extremely, extremely, extremely small chance that Mexico's army started to hold against the American military, all it takes is one nuke on Mexico City and the war would be over.

Talk about refried beans. ick.

Did U hear? In Centerville, UT, they are building a $65 million facility to be completed in September?
It will consist of 10 dome-like structures made of steel frames covered with a nylon-based materal. Each dome will house 200 beds for a total of 2,000 beds to hold illegals for deportation.

The government is working to end the "catch and release" policy that has recently resulted in the deportation of thousands of illegals.

This contract was secured by a local company who received it from ICE less than a month ago. They began contstruction the end of June...

While the facility may look like tents, they are very secure. Two fences of razor wire protect the project, ....the illegals will be held there, processed and deported with an estimated holding time of 2-4 weeks.

ISN'T THIS GREAT.... the plan is to build these holding camps all over the nation....

Now, let the deportation begin!
